Only yesterday, together with the event “Legendary Hunt”, update 1.2 for Apex Legends was released. After some initial problems with the magazine size of some weapons became known, the developer Respawn Entertainment has now published a whole list of things with which something is wrong since the new version. Among them is a fifth item slotThe fans are currently speculating about its function.

The team emphasizes that the information is not complete and they are already working on finding and fixing the causes of the error. They want to keep the players informed about the development as much as possible. However, some bugs require a little more investigation.

• Havoc and Devotion ammo is reduced
• Skydiving from a jump tower was “generated
• Clones of Mirage sometimes appear behind the player and die too early
• No possibility to change the language of the voiceovers

A new item type is coming

Some players have noticed that they have not only the usual slots for helmet, armor, knockdown shield and backpack, but an additional fifth one. This one is of particular importance because Respawn Entertainment states, that players should wait to find out what this is all about.

From this it can be deduced that this is not an error, but that by some mishap the slot simply too early into the game came. We will probably get solid information in three days at EA Play. Then the developer will present the second – Season of Apex Legends.

However, the players are already puzzling. Some assume that it is a Slot for melee weapons could be about. These have already been mentioned in the patch notes, although they do not exist in the game. However, critics of this theory point out that Respawn could mean Wraith’s Heirloom item, a kunai.

The other theories suggest additional equipment like boots, gloves or mods that let you run faster and jump higher, for example. Also mobility items, which again allow a wallrun like in Titanfall are among the speculations. Some users even go further and hope for an item with which you can summon a Titan.
