Intel Arc A750 beats Nvidia RTX 3060

shows for the first time in what the new is capable of. The chip manufacturer wants to position itself in the mid-range and compete with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. At first glance, this seems to be successful.

After more than 20 years, Intel once again ventures into the ring with dedicated graphics cards, which is meanwhile solely dominated by Nvidia and AMD. Due to various driver problems, they couldn’t cover themselves with glory in the past, which they try to regain with the release of the first benchmarks of the Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition (LE). The US company provides test results of more than 40 including a direct comparison with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3060.

Info: The Intel Arc A750 was tested in connection with an Intel Core i9-12900K on an Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Apex motherboard including 32 GB DDR5 RAM (5600 MHz), a 500 GB Samsung 870 Evo SSD and Windows 11 Pro.

Good results in with and Vulkan.

Although manufacturer benchmarks are known to be taken with a grain of salt, Intel promises between three and five percent more performance in 1080p (FullHD) and 1440p resolutions (WQHD/QHD) at high to maximum graphics details (Ultra) compared to Nvidia’s mid-range entry. However, that is also only when using DirectX 12 () and the Vulkan API. The ongoing problems regarding the drivers have shown that especially older and still widespread DirectX 11 titles (DX11) would tend to perform worse in comparison.

Nevertheless, the first performance outlook is impressive, especially if Intel can compete with Nvidia and AMD in terms of price and possibly even undercut them. Gamers should be happy that even titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Far Cry 6, Forza Horizon 5, F1 2022, Call of Duty , Hitman 3, Resident Evil Village and World of Warcraft easily crack the 50 FPS and partly even the 100 FPS mark at a high detail level and 1440p resolution. That should be enough for normal users and casual gamers.

Finally, Intel still doesn’t have any information about the technology, the prices and especially the western release date.
