What are battle buses?

When you first start playing Fortnite, a friendly bus driver will take you around the map in his flying bus. This bus is called a Battle Bus and has been used consistently since Chapter 1 to drive players around the map.

For many fans of the #BRShooter, the bus is considered a trademark of Fortnite. And now that the Seven and IO are in battle, players get to use their gold to help build armored buses. With them, they can drive across the map and use heavy guns to riddle their enemies.

A fundraiser has ended and the bus can now be picked up by any player, so we’ll show you how strong it is and if it can stand up to a tank.

How strong is the armored bus?

Reddit user leoisdoggo posted a battle between the bus and a tank. This shows you how strong the bus really is:

As a driver, he drives through Tilted Towers to check out the situation. On the guns, which are on the roof, sits his teammate. Both of them already spy a tank through the audio-visualization, which they immediately set course for.

The user leoisdoggo applies a boost and rams the tank with full force. The tank is unimpressed and places a large shot on the bus. This explodes due to the shot and the bus can no longer be used.

Compared to the tank, the armored battle bus is a degraded form of a more mobile tank, with fewer health points but more speed.

The bus does well for ambushing enemies in open areas, but poorly for taking much damage. If building is reactivated, the bus will do better than the tank.

What can the bus do?

The bus offers more space for passengers than ordinary vehicles. It can score points with the following things:

• Space for seven players including the driver
• Has a device for ramming
• Two guns are installed on the roof – Cause more damage to vehicles
  • Gun above the driver fires slow projectiles, but of large caliber
  • Gun at the end of the bus fires fast projectiles of small caliber
• Can even get a speed boost at the expense of high fuel consumption

Where to find the bus?

The first known bus is located in Sanctuary, in the area of the Seven. Other copies will not appear in the other camps of the Seven until the necessary amount of donations is reached.

You can recognize the locations by the blue marked spots on your map. These borders mark the territories of the respective factions.
