BikiniBodhi is one of the most famous names in Rainbow Six: Siege. The YouTuber and streamer entertains his fans with insane videos and an always chirpy manner. Now, however, he is banned until June and says: He deserves it.
Who is it about?
- Swede Tobias “BikiniBodhi” André is a YouTuber and content creator in Rainbow Six. He is part of the e-sports organization Fnatic and even worked as an analyst at the Majors in Sweden.
- His videos are mostly entertaining montages, but also often useful. For example, he showed how strong the rework of one of the oldest operators in the game was. His opinion is appreciated by many fans.
- Now, however, he is banned from all official tournaments and activities of the game for the time being – because of a tweet.
What has BikiniBodhi done? On Twitter, the YouTuber got into a spat with some other Rainbow Six fans. It was about the upcoming Majors in August. These were originally supposed to take place in the United Arab Emirates.
However, the decision was withdrawn after criticism from the community. However, the discussion continued and extended to the reasons. At one point, the topic turned to the culture of the country. In response to a comment, BikiniBodhi replied:
“If your culture wants you to murder other people for who they are, then that’s a shitty culture that doesn’t deserve to exist.”
As he says himself, he crossed a line. He had insulted all of Islam, he said, and the people in the countries in question. That was not his intention, but he had become too emotional.
In a statement, he wrote: “I don’t ask for forgiveness, I don’t deserve it. I screwed up and I take full responsibility.”
Rainbow Six disables even items in the game
For his tweet, BikiniBodhi is now banned “from all Ubisoft and Siege activities” until June 18, 2022, according to him. For example, he will not get advance access to the new – Season , which is scheduled to start soon.
In addition, a certain weapon pendant has been temporarily disabled. This is a cosmetic item that came into the game in his honor. Those who already have the pendant should be able to continue using it, only it won’t be available until June.
Unlike his previous ban, however, where he was “hacked”, he would still be able to continue playing and streaming. Only from official events of Ubisoft he is excluded.
Rainbow Six is currently preparing the new – Season
In the game itself, the test for the 1st – Season of Year 7 is currently underway under the name “Demon Veil.” This one brings the new operator Azami, a defender from Japan. This one can create bulletproof barriers with special kunais, a ninja weapon.
The – Season is scheduled to go live on March 15 and will bring, among other things, Team Deathmatch, a mode that fans have wanted for 7 years. In addition, as usual, there will be some improvements and new cosmetics.
Rainbow Six: Siege has been enduringly popular for 7 years now and is still constantly being improved. The title is also still popular in e-sports. The shooter has been in the list of the best representatives of the genre on MeinMMO for some time now:
