Valorant is probably THE most important Esports release! But the start was a bit bumpy. And many people must have wondered how to get all the Valorant agents? We found out.
Ever since Valorant launched on Tuesday, June 2, gamers worldwide have been asking, “How do I get the agents?”. Of course, it’s not that easy. If you were lucky enough to get a drop for the closed beta, you could just start playing – the 10 agents at the time were available right away. This is different now. At the beginning there are now a few Valorant Agents playable with which you have to earn the rest. These are: Sage, Sova, Jett, Brimstone and Phoenix.
Once you reach level 5, you can unlock the first agent. Which one you choose is up to you. At level 10 the same thing happens again.
BUT STOP!
Now the situation gets tricky. From here on, Valorant becomes a full-time job. Agents can only be unlocked from the fifth level. And to reach it, it takes a while. Because for that you need XP – a lot of XP. To be precise, 200,000 XP per agent, which is less than the 375,000 XP from the closed beta.
If you’re interested in the calculation of valorant levels, you should have a look at this Reddit thread. We have of course linked the calculation as well.
Is it worth getting in now?
Absolutely. Riot Games seemed to get some criticism after the release and had to fix it as soon as possible. The eagerly awaited agents were not always unlocked despite a level 10 score. Maybe a hotfix is coming soon?
If you haven’t unlocked your favorite main yet and can’t handle the others at all, go to the Range. In the training camp, you can approach each Valorant agent in peace.
Which main is the right one?
There are easy and hard Valorant Agents, but in general, it depends on your own preferences: For example, those who like to play aggressively use Viper. Those who like to scout their opponents choose Cypher.
By the way, the five levels of agent contracts don’t have to be earned with a certain agent. So you don’t have to master every character. For a squad, however, we recommend having more than just 7 agents up your sleeve.
