WoW Wrath of the Lich King Classic: How to prepare yourself
Since the livestream event on April 19, 2022, it’s clear that WoW: Wrath of the Lich King content will be landing on the progressive Classic servers later this year. Included: the continent of Northrend, Death Knights, Inscription Lore, achievements, as well as all sorts of dungeon and raid challenges, and more. As soon as the launch is imminent, especially the players in Northrend will be in full swing, who are already preparing themselves optimally for the upcoming WotLK adventure. In this guide, we’ll tell you what’s involved in such a preparation.
Get exclusive titles from TBC Classic
Once WotLK Classic is released, you will no longer be able to play the following TBC exclusive titles:
If you can earn these titles in time, you will receive the corresponding Heroic Achievements for them with the launch of WotLK Classic (Tip: If you still have the original quests in your quest log with the launch of WotLK Classic, you should still be able to earn the titles. At least that was possible in retail WoW. However, you won’t be able to reacquire the quests, as Blizzard will replace them with new variants that don’t reward you with the respective title).
Get the Amani War Bear from TBC Classic
Since the opening of Zul’Aman in Content Phase 4 of TBC Classic, you can use the Time Race to earn the unique War Bear of the Amani secure it. And that’s exactly what you should have done by the launch of WotLK Classic, because after that the exclusive reward will disappear from the World of Warcraft again.

As important as professions were in WoW Classic and TBC Classic, in WotLK Classic it is even more important that you equip your main character with two suitable jobs. Especially the manufacturing professions provide you with exclusive advantages that you won’t want to miss out on. Here is a small overview of the best profession bonuses:
- Tailoring: Exclusive enchantments on capes
- Engineering: Very powerful exclusive speed effect (hyper speed accelerator).
- Jeweler art: Access to jewels (three usable at the same time) that promise a significantly higher increase in value.
- Blacksmithing: Exclusive sockets for gloves and bracers, in which you can then put jewels, of course.
- Alchemy: Increased effects through elixirs and vials (mixology).
- EnchantingNew exclusive ring enchantments
- EpigraphySpecial exclusive shoulder enchantments
- Leather processing: Special exclusive bracers enchantment.
The bottom line is that most of these special bonuses are equal in direct comparison, so it almost doesn’t matter (if you’re only interested in these bonuses) which profession combo you choose (there’s certainly more to consider in detail depending on class and role, but we’ll do an extra guide on that). It’s much more important that you really choose two professions from this list and don’t supply your raid main with any generic professions whose bonuses are much weaker.
