Since August 31, 2022 the pre-patch is now live and in this guide we want to tell all Classic fans with enough time how to get the most out of the coming weeks. Get the most out of Rush Journeys

You may have already read our first tip in the second linked guide: If you want to level up characters for WotLK Classic, including the Death Knights that have been available for a short time, you should definitely do it between August 31 and September 27, 2022. Because only during this time you will benefit from the buffing effect. Fill up your quest log with completed tasks

If you want to “minmax” a pre-patch like this, you’ll normally also want to hit the ground running in Northrend. And how can you combine both? Well, by finding several high-level, easily accessible quest hubs in the coming weeks, accepting all assignments there and completing the corresponding tasks. However, you will then postpone the submission of the quests until launch day. This way you can reach level 71+ in no time and save about six hours of questing in Northrend.

Master all the professions that are important to you

In WotLK Classic, professions will once again take on an important role. They provide your heroes with exclusive benefits and all kinds of items that you will need for your everyday raid and PvP life. Of course, it’s especially great when you can completely supply yourself with jewels, elixirs, potions, vials, glyphs, and more. Thanks to the new weapon and armor parchments of Inscription Lore, you can even equip yourself with the enchantments of your Enchanter Twin for the first time in Classic.

However, leveling professions takes time, as we all know. If you don’t start leveling until the launch of WotLK Classic, you will lose a lot of time that you could invest in Northrend content. Besides, you can expect that the prices of crafting materials will only increase from now on (and especially from the launch of WotLK Classic). Therefore, it is better to bring all targeted crafting skills (including the new Inscription Lore) to the TBC era skill level as soon as possible, i.e. 375.

When distributing professions, make sure that your main character, with whom you want to make the raid instances of Northrend unsafe, learns two crafting crafts that offer him useful bonuses for the endgame. Our basic recommendation: Engineering and Jewelcrafting. Engineers have access to most of the exclusive benefits, while jewelers enjoy the greatest possible flexibility, since they can choose which stats they want to increase via their exclusive jewels. This is especially interesting when we look at secondary stats like Armor Pierce, which will become enormously important as the WotLK era progresses.

Use the increased demand to make gold!

The pre-patch will attract numerous players to Azeroth in the coming weeks who are not optimally prepared. For you, this means a huge chance to make an extreme amount of gold in just a few days and weeks. For example, if you manage to level Inscription quickly, you can take advantage of the huge demand for Glyphs, which really every character needs right now. Once all characters are supplied with glyphs, this need will decrease noticeably.

But you can also make a lot of gold with other professions. If other players want to level up their professions as fast as possible (including countless death knights), it usually means that they don’t want to farm the raw materials. Herbs, ores, leather, cloth … all these materials will sell like hot cakes in the auction house.

Get gear that will make leveling easier!

Whether freshly leveled or boosted: During the pre-patch phase, if you stop caring about your character the moment it reaches level 70, the first meters in Northrend will become quite tedious – similar to what happened in Outland at the launch of TBC Classic.

Fortunately, there are a few ways to get really good epics comparatively quickly without having to find a raid for the Sunwell Plateau right away. For example, you can get the epic gear from the last TBC Classic PvP – Season since the pre-patch for Honor.. If you really step on the gas for a weekend, you should be able to equip yourself almost fully. The weapons have almost “Sunwell” quality.

If you continue to find good groups for dungeons on your server, it is also worth visiting the heroic TBC instances regularly. Also, take trips to Karazhan and Zul’Aman. All of this content is fairly easy, doesn’t take too long, and provides you with Badge of Justicewhich you can exchange for epics at NPCs. Of course, items can also drop in the raids, which are always better than the equipment of a boosted character.
