Barely a month and a half after release Apex Legends – Season 1 finally launched yesterday. Besides an extensive patch and the new character Octane, the Battle Pass is probably the most important new feature. According to a new leak, buyers could soon be rewarded with special bonuses.

The new leak comes from the well-known dataminer RealApexLeaks, who made several interesting discoveries while scouring the game files. Those who bought the Battle Pass for “Apex Legends” might have already noticed that leveling up takes quite a long time.

However, in the Battle Pass files there are hints of future events that could reward you with bonus experience.

For example, you can find the entries “XpEventTypeDate_BattlePassOnly” and “XpEventTypeDate_GetBattlePassFrac”, which indicate special XP events. Double XP weekends, as already known from “Call of Duty”, would be conceivable, for example.

Another note with the text “BattlePass Specific XP” also indicates that developer Respawn Entertainment could offer temporary rewards for buyers of the Battle Pass in the future. It talks about 500 bonus XP for the first kill of a game, for example, and other hints point to additional bonuses when playing with friends.

Similar to “World of Warcraft”, for example, a rested status could also find its way into the game. It’s conceivable that you could gain more experience in the short term if you haven’t logged in for a few days.
