Zeus: “Your prayers are answered.”
Zeus, the Lord of Heaven, is an intelligence hero from DotA and Dota 2. The father of the gods from Greek mythology fights as a long-range kamf unit on the side of the Radiant and can shoot lightning in battle. In the game, he can take on the role of a nuker and support. Arc Lightning allows Zeus to fire a bolt of lightning that bounces between multiple enemies within a radius, dealing damage. Lightning Bolt, on the other hand, allows him to shoot a bolt of massive damage at a single unit or a nearby area, thereby casting True Sight on them. Both abilities have a very short cooldown. Zeus’ passive ability Static Field causes all units in a 1000 percent radius to take damage whenever Zeus casts one of his abilities. The damage done by Static Field always depends on the current amount of Health and can be up to 11% of it. Through his Ultimate ability Thundergod’s Wrath, Zeus can even damage all enemy Heroes on the map and temporarily enable True Sight on them. Aghanim’s Scepter only increases the damage of the ultimate.
Zeus- Hype
None can hide from Zeus, whether he’s calling down a bolt to reveal the surroundings, sending an arc coursing through his nearest enemies, or summoning a terrifying volley of lightning upon all enemies. Wherever his foes are, Zeus will find them.
Zeus- Biography
“Zeus, Lord of Heaven and father of the gods, treats all heroes as if they were his impetuous, rebellious children. After being caught countless times rendezvousing with numerous mortal women, his wife finally gave him an ultimatum: ‘If you love mortals so much, become one of them yourself. If you can prove yourself faithful, return as my immortal husband. Otherwise, you shall die along with your creatures.’ Zeus could not disagree with their logic (and magic) and agreed to their plan. Since then, he has been on his best behavior, again craving immortality more than mortals. However, to prove himself worthy of his eternal spouse, he must continue to pursue victory on the battlefield.”
Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
