Witch Doctor: “Someone call de doctor?”
Zharvako, the Witch Doctor, is an intelligence hero from DotA and Dota 2. The voodoo-practicing ranged fighter belongs to the Dire. He is primarily suited for healing allied units and for targeting enemy heroes, whom he can curse. In the game, the Witch Doctor can play the role of a support and disabler. With Paralyzing Cask, he can stun groups of enemies by throwing a container into a group of enemies that makes several jumps between them. The stun duration and damage varies by creep and hero. Voodoo Restoration has no cooldown, but can consume an extremely large amount of mana over time. It can be used to heal the Witch Doctor and surrounding allies. It can theoretically be activated permanently if the mana regeneration is high enough. Its third ability, Maledict, deals minimal damage over time that affects the heroes of the target area. However, Maledict can cause additional damage if the cursed victim receives further damage from other causes, killing mainly fleeing enemies. Witch Doctor’s Ultimate Death Ward has a channeling effect and summons a Ward that shoots at enemy heroes. However, it can only shoot one hero at a time and has a limited range. After the third level or by possessing Aghanim’s Scepter, this can jump between enemies, similar to Paralyzing Cask.
Witch Doctor- Hype
Witch Doctor is whatever his team needs him to be. Whether aiding his team with gradual healing, stunning and cursing foes to ensure a kill, or destroying enemies himself with a dance by his mighty ultimate, few can match Witch Doctor’s versatility.
Witch Doctor- Biography
“A wiry figure limps forward. His appearance seems irregular, his gait grotesque. Relentlessly, he crisscrosses the battlefield in search of the crucial weak spot where his arts are capable of relieving the most distress and bringing the most suffering. Whether broken or falsely created is not certain, but still no one can question the power that this bent apparition carries. A long staff strikes the earth dully. Zharvakko, the Witch Doctor, advances, unleashing a fearsome arsenal of idols, sorceries and spells. It is a body of magical knowledge, learned and perfected during several human lifetimes in the island highlands of Arktura. Now it uses this knowledge with great precision against its opponents. Zharvakko can be both your best friend and your worst enemy. He heals his allies and destroys all who oppose him. “
Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
