Heroes Dota 2 – Warlock

Warlock: “A new chapter in my Black Grimoire.”

Demnok Lannik, the Warlock, is an hero from DotA and Dota 2. Warlock is a ranged combat unit of Dire. In the game he can play the role of an initiator, support, lane support and disabler. Fatal Bonds binds enemy units together, causing them to take 20% of the damage from the actual target. Shadow Word’s effect depends on the target: allies are healed by the ability, enemies take damage over time as a result. Upheavel allows Warlock to slow down enemy units in a given area, with the effect lasting for a short time after leaving the affected area, and the ability channeling. Warlock’s Ultimate Chaotic Offering summons a golem that can fight for Warlock. If enemy heroes are standing around the area of the summon, they are briefly stunned by it. Aghanim’s Scepter gives Warlock two golems, but they have degraded stats and have 25% less damage and health. Additionally, they also only get half the gold from kills. Combined with the Refresher Orb, Warlock can even summon four golems.

Warlock- Hype

Summoning forth his demonic golem, Warlock brings ruin to enemies and destroys their defenses. Yet even without his golem, his dark spells can still wreak havoc, whether healing allies and harming enemies with a word, or binding foes together to share their agony.

Warlock- Biography

“Demnok Lannik, chief curator and director of the archives at the Academy of Ultimyr, has always been on the restless hunt for all lost, rare, or forbidden writings. As soon as he heard a new rumor that suggested the existence of an ancient pamphlet or script, no cursed temple was too threatening and no cave too eerie for any concern for his survival to prevent him from entering. Time and again, however, his explorations were disrupted by the magical protections, so that he was eventually forced to learn the arts of magic himself. With the same obsession that had driven his search for the Incunabula, he studied the lore of sorcery, and in less time than it took most students to complete a single course of their studies, he rose to become the most powerful sorcerer in the entire academy. It seemed almost incidental when he carved himself a staff of dreadwood and conjured within it a spirit trapped in the outer hell. In anticipation of the day when he would have found the last lost spellbook, he began writing his own Black Grimoire. This one, without question, will be of a most instructive nature.”

Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
