Heroes Dota 2 – Tusk

Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an boss opponent. The Dueling Fates announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.

Tusk: “They call me the Terror from the Barrier. They call me the Snowball from Cobalt. But you may call me Tusk!”

Ymir, the Tusk (Tusk), is a hero from DotA and Dota 2. He is a melee unit and belongs to the Radiant. Tusk’s abilities have a lot to do with ice and frost, are all active and can damage or slow down enemies. In the game, the Tusk can play the role of an initiator and durabler. Ice Shard can deal area damage on one hand, but at the same time trap heroes so that they can only flee in one direction and are at Tusk’s mercy. Snowball causes Tusk and allied heroes within its perimeter to roll toward an enemy unit in a ball of ice. This ice ball stuns and damages all units in the perimeter it rolls through, hitting the actual target unit the hardest. Allies within a radius of 100 are automatically invited into the snowball, those within a radius of 400 can be invited manually. The damage and speed of the ball increase with the amount of heroes in it. Frozen Sigil summons a frozen sigil that follows Tusk and slows down surrounding enemies. However, the sigil can also be controlled independently of Tusk and awards gold when destroyed. Tusk’s Ultimate Walrus PUNCH! causes a critical hit on Tusk’s next strike, briefly throwing enemies into the air, stunning and weakening them. Walrus PUNCH! can’t miss, but it can’t be improved with Aghanim’s Scepter either, because Tusk can now kick his opponents back.

Tusk- Hype

Tusk is always eager to start a fight. Able to instantly corner an enemy with a wall of ice shards, he gathers with his allies and rolls into enemies inside of a massive snowball, bringing him in range to land his signature knockout punch.

Tusk- Biography

“It was a brawl worth remembering. There stood Ymir the Tusk, the Terror of the Barrier, the Snowball of Cobalt, the only warrior who could defeat the Bristle Slayer in a fair fight, and who was now still the last one standing in the Wolf Cave Tavern. What began as a simple demonstration of superiority ended with 4 regulars, a blacksmith, and six of the Frost Brigade’s finest soldiers rolling in the shards and splinters of pretty much every bottle, jug, and chair in the house. Tusk boastfully celebrated himself for his victory as he drained his drink. No sooner had the vanquished returned to consciousness than they demanded a rematch with double the bet. For Tusk, this prospect was tempting; never before had there been such a high betting profit as the one now offered to him. Horrified at the state of his tavern and desperate to avoid another brawl, the innkeeper came up with an idea. Talented as he was, the Tusk had never participated in a real battle, never proven himself against the randomness, death and chaos of war. And so he proposed another wager to the warrior: He should find the biggest battle possible, survive and choose the side of his choice. The reward? The next round of drinks.”
