Heroes Dota 2 – Spectre

Spectre: “I have come here a stranger, lost.”

Mercurial, the Spectre (Phantom), is an heroine from DotA and Dota 2. Spectre einget to hunt enemies cut off from allied units. She is a melee fighter of the Dire. In the game, Spectre can take on the role of a Carry and Durabler. Spectre’s abilities allow her to target enemy heroes, and her passive ability Desolate in particular lets her easily defeat heroes cut off from allies. Spectral Dagger lets her track marked enemies, while Dispersion reflects damage dealt to Spectre. Her Ultimate Haunt makes her one of the most mobile units in the game. When she activates this ability, a Spectral Nemesis, which is a weaker version of her, attacks any enemy hero on the map. Using Reality, she can take the position of any Nemesis, allowing her to attack weakened opponents regardless of their position. The Ultimate cannot be improved with Aghanim’s Scepter.

Spectre- Hype

Spectre haunts her enemies wherever they may be. Able to destroy lone prey with ease, she spreads her presence throughout the battlefield to choose her target. Once she has gathered her strength, none can escape her terrible wrath.

Spectre- Biography

“Just as high-energy states strive for lower energy levels, Spectre, a being of strong and boisterous energy known as Mercurial, is irresistibly drawn to conflict in the physical world. While her normal Spectral state transcends sensory limitations, she suffers a loss of self – but not of purpose – every time she manifests physically. In the tumult of battle, her identity shatters and reassembles, regaining consciousness. She realizes that she is Mercurial, the Spectre – and that all her ghosts are but shadows of the one true Spectre. Focus comes with the struggle for survival; her true self asserts itself until, in the moment of victory or defeat, her matter transcends and she is once again reconstructed in her eternal form.”

Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
