Heroes Dota 2 – Shadow Shaman

Shadow Shaman: “Hear me, I speak for the shades!”

Rhasta, the Shadow Shaman, is an hero from DotA and Dota 2. The ranged combat hero belongs to the Radiant. Shadow Shaman’s abilities include a few functions: He can lock enemy heroes, transform them or damage multiple units at once. In the game, he can take the role of a Pusher, Disabler, Nukers and Supports. Ether Shock damages up to seven enemy units, of which only the primary target can be specified. Hex transforms the target into a harmless chicken that cannot attack or use abilities and gains a speed of 100. While passive abilities or items do not take effect in this state, movement buffs are not removed. Shackles has a channeling effect and lets Shadow Shaman hold its target for a while, dealing a small amount of damage over time and rendering it unable to move or act. Ultimate Mass Serpant Ward summons ten immobile Serpant Wards that can deal damage to enemy units and buildings, making them suitable for pushing. The damage decreases as enemies move away from the Serpant Wards. Theoretically, it is possible for Shadow Shaman to trap enemy units between the Wards. Destroyed Serpant Wards award gold and experience points. Aghanim’s Scepter increases the damage of the Serpant Wards.

Shadow Shaman- Biography

“From birth, Rhasta eked out a miserable existence on the bleeding hills until a wandering swindler once picked him up. For a copper nail, he predicted the future for an anxious mind. For three he castrated the farmer’s pigs, for five his sons. For a bountiful meal, he took out his shaman’s garb and read from his ancient books to curse forever the enemies of his patrons. His curious pupil, half hill troll – half…. something else – acted as his assistant, luring clientele with his exotic grace. The two roamed the countryside, always one step ahead of their victims and always a day ahead of the law in the next town. One day, however, the swindler noticed that his youngster was actually powerful in the arts that he himself only pretended to master. ‘His protégé possessed a gift – a gift that his customers appreciated.’ So from then on he pushed young Rhasta in front of the crowd; thus the name Shadow Shaman was born. ‘From town to town, the Shadow Shaman’s fame grew, and the two continued to amass new riches. ‘But then their shady past caught up with them when they were ambushed by an angry mob of former customers. The swindler soon went down, awakening the evil in Rhasta, who used his powers to massacre the attackers. Over the grave of his beloved master, he vowed to use his powers from now on against all who would harm him.”

Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an boss opponent. The Dueling Fates announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
