Shadow Demon: “Heed me, and it will go better for you.”
Shadow Demon is an intelligence hero from DotA and Dota 2. He is a ranged Dire unit whose abilities all have low cooldowns, allowing him to use them as a complement in combat. In the game, he can take on the role of a Support, Disabler and Nukers. With Disruption, Shadow Demon can banish an enemy or allied hero for 2.5 seconds, making them immune to attacks. Only Shadow Demon’s abilities affect units under the influence of Disruption. Disruption creates two illusions from the affected Hero following the banishment, which are under Shadow Demon’s control and are slightly weaker than the template. Soul Catcher increases the damage taken by enemy units by a percentage. Shadow Poison poisons enemy units and can be summed in up to five times. The ability deals initial damage and then poison damage at the end, which can be summed up and multiplied by multiples by casting the ability multiple times. Shadow Poison Release allows the poison damage to be released early. Shadow Demon’s Ultimate Demonic Purge purges an enemy unit of positive effects and adds damage to it at the end of the effect. In addition, the target suffers a strong slowdown, which it gradually loses again until the end of the effect. Aghanim’s Scepter reduces the cooldown of Demonic Purge and replaces the simple ultimate with rechargeable charges.
Shadow Demon- Hype
Spewing clouds of demonic poison to damage enemies or scout the battlefield, few dare to approach Shadow Demon. Banishing an enemy as his allies gather for the kill, he can inflict demonic curses as he summons traitorous illusions to turn enemy strength against itself.
Shadow Demon- Biography
“Among the independent demons with direct access to this world, Doom cares little for the affairs of non-infernals and lower spectral beings, while Shadow Fiend traverses it only on his collecting expeditions. The Shadow Demon, on the other hand, has always shown a great and abiding interest in the material plane, as if sensing that control of this gross dimensional web might be the key to total domination of all realities. At first summoned by insignificant sorcerers, the Shadow Demon fulfilled every wish and made ever more impressive displays of his power until he had the full attention of the most eminent demonologists and, through them, of the various lords, tyrants, rulers, and high priests who depended on sorcery as a support for their worldly power. He hid his true intentions from his summoners, who saw themselves as masters and Shadow Demon as their servant; he slowly wore down their will and took control of their minds. In the end, most of the cult’s members were nothing more than empty puppets, puppets of his evil will. What Shadow Demon’s next move would have been, however, remains open to speculation, as at this time Nevermore, the Shadow Fiend, tasted a particularly foul-tasting soul and found nothing in it but a putrid extract of Shadow Demon’s essence. Warned of the impending betrayal and the resulting destabilization of the balance of the Umbral Pact, Doom and Shadow Fiend briefly allied to destroy the growing cult. Combining spells of unimaginable power, they undid the result of Shadow Demon’s centuries of work and crushed the cult along with its members. Only a small shadow of the demon remained. But this indestructible particle of evil was enough to seal the Shadow Demon’s return. Hundreds of years passed, during which the tiny piece of shadow poisoned everything it touched, gradually increasing its power. The chaos of damaged parts reassembled and combined gave Shadow Demon a new form, even stronger than his previous one. While he is far from complete, he has already eradicated the former flaws in his plan for unlimited control. It seems that such a being of pure malice and insidiousness, a danger to the complete creation, would be forever out of place in this world… but Shadow Demon has no shortage of followers.”
Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
