Puck: “In your tongue I am known as Puck.”
Puck, the Faerie Dragon, is an intelligence heroine from DotA and Dota 2. She is a ranged fighter and belongs to the Radiant. In the game, Puck can play the role of an Initiator, Nuker, Disabler and Escaper. Through Illusory Orb, Puck shoots a magical orb that damages enemies and grants a limited range of vision on her flight path. While the Illusory Orb is moving, Puck can teleport to the current point of the Illusory Orb at any time using Ethereal Jaunt. Warning Rift silences enemies and deals damage to them when they are near Puck. Phase Shift allows Puck to temporarily move to another dimension, where she is completely immune to enemy abilities and damage of any kind. Puck’s Ultimate Dream Coil stuns, damages, and shackles enemy heroes to a specific point. If the bound enemies move too far away from the position Dream Coil binds them to, their bonds break, but this stuns them again and causes them to take further damage. Aghanim’s Scepter increases the duration of Dream Coil and the damage they receive when their shackles snap.
Puck- Hype
Puck has a talent for confounding its enemies with playfully elusive mischief. By teleporting to its damaging orb in order to hop short distances, it attacks foes with bursts of silencing dust. By the time its enemies can react, Puck has long since escaped.
Puck- Biography
“While at first glance Puck appears to be a mischievous, childlike character, this trait hides an alien personality. As the young form of a Faerie Fragon, a creature that survives eons, Puck has already spent millennia in her childlike form. Thus, although it is technically true that Puck is still young, she will still be so when the cities of the current era have crumbled to dust. Her motivations are therefore puzzling, and what seems like a game may actually conceal a darker purpose. In this, her endless penchant for mischief is the only clue to Puck’s true nature.”
Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
