Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
Phoenix: “Over countless eons, this beacon gathered its incredible energy to finally perish in the cataclysmic explosion of a supernova. From the inferno sprang new beacons, star children, like their ancestor, who passed through the dark cosmos and formed the first constellations.”
Phoenix (Phoenix), is a strength hero from DotA and Dota 2. He is a ranged combat unit of the Radiant. In the game, he can take on the role of an Initiator, Disabler and Nukers. Unlike most other heroes, Phoenix’s ability is very dependent on his health and for the most part does not consume mana. With Icarus Dive, Phoenix can set off on an oval-shaped flight, lighting enemies in its area of effect on fire, slowing them down and dealing damage over time. During the flight, it can be interrupted at any time with Stop Icarus Dive, making it suitable for escape. It is also possible to cast the Fire Spirits or Launch Fire Spirit abilities or the Ultimate Supernova during the Icarus Dive. Fire Spirits activates four projectiles that are temporarily available to Phoenix and can be fired separately with Launch Fire Spirit. The projectiles deal area-of-effect damage to enemies over time and reduce their attack speed. Icarus’ Sun Ray ability lets him fire a beam of light that deals increasing percentage damage to enemies and heals allies by half the damage. Sun Ray’s beam can be slowly turned. When Sun Ray is active, it can be stopped early by pressing Stop Sun Ray. Toggle Movement, on the other hand, allows Phoenix to slowly move forward while Sun Ray is in effect. Supernova, Phoenix’s Ultimate, allows him to transform into a burning sun that deals massive damage around it, but can be destroyed by enemy Heroes. If Phoenix survives his Ultimate, he stuns all surrounding enemies, resets his cooldowns except for Supernova’s, and fully recharges his mana and health. Supernova can be improved with Aghanim’s Scepter to lock in and heal an ally. Phoenix was released on January 29, 2014, along with Terrorblade, as part of the New Bloom update.
Phoenix- Hype
Diving into battle, Phoenix blasts enemies and heals allies with rays of solar flame. When the time is right, it can become a burning sun to scorch nearby foes before unleashing a stunning detonation that also restores Phoenix to full strength.
Phoenix- Biography
“Lonely in the pristine darkness shone the first sun of the Keeper, a single point of rational light filling the eternal void with warmth. Over countless eons, this beacon gathered its incredible energy, finally to perish in the cataclysmic explosion of a supernova. From the inferno sprang new beacons, star children, like their ancestor, who passed through the dark cosmos and formed the first constellations. After another eternity, they too would end in a supernova. And so the cycle of birth and rebirth would continue on and on until all the heavens created by the hands of Titans sparkled.
In these endless crucibles, the star that mortals would call Phoenix was also born. Like its ancestors, it was thrust into endless space to find its place among its own kind. But curiosity about what had been given life by the weary ancients in the darkness overcame the newcomer. Over long cycles he studied and researched. He learned that among worlds – whole, as well as broken – there would soon emerge a nexus of remarkable variety, caught in an eternal struggle of universal significance, a plane that needed more help than the light of a distant dying sun. And so the newborn Son of the Suns took solid form, joyfully wandering to bestow its warmth on those who needed it most – and possibly to seize its destiny.”
