Heroes Dota 2 – Morphling

Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.

Morphling: “Deep waters still run!”

Morphling (Changer) is an hero from DotA and Dota 2. Made of water, Morphling is a ranged combat unit and belongs to the Radiant. Morphling’s abilities allow him to deal area damage as well as increase his agility or strength. In the game, he can take on the role of a Carry, Escaper, Initiator, and Nucleator. With Waveform, he moves away as a wave of water over a distance, damaging enemy units in his path. While Waveform is in effect, Morphling is invulnerable. Adaptive Strike can wound and stun an enemy unit. If Morphling’s Agility is 50% greater than his Strength, the affected unit suffers maximum damage, otherwise it is stunned for a maximized time. Morphling’s ability Morph can trade Strength in favor of Agility and vice versa. However, at least one point of the respective attribute must be retained. In addition, both instances provide a permanent bonus to the associated attribute. Through its Ultimate Replicate, Morphling can create a temporary copy of an allied or enemy hero, dealing only half of its damage but suffering the same as the original. While the copy is active, Morphling can use Morph Replicate to take its position. While the Ultimate cannot be improved with Aghanim’s Scepter, Morphling can use it to become a hybrid illusion of an allied Hero to fool opponents.

Morphling- Hype

By adjusting his attributes according to the situation, Morphling can be as elusive as he is deadly. Whether he floats on a wave to flank an opponent or increases his health before creating misleading copies of himself, few can hope to corner him.

Morphling- Biography

“For a long time the comet merely circled, a satellite of a distant sun, bound by the merciless pull of gravity. The massive ball of ice raced through the darkness between , unseen on its dark . On the eve of the War of the Vloy, it fell from the night sky, leaving a luminous trail there. A sign that both armies considered an omen. The frozen orb melted in a flash of boiling heat as two armies took up battle below it on the banks of a narrow river. Thus released from his icy rigidity, the morphling was born in battle, an elemental force, one with the tides of the ocean, unpredictable and independent. He entered the battlefield, instinctively took the form of the first general to set foot across the river and killed him. When the forces clashed, he changed from one form to another during the battle, immediately absorbing the essence of each warrior. Sometimes a foot soldier, sometimes an archer, sometimes a cavalryman, he took all forms until, when the last soldier fell, Morphling had played all roles in the battle. The end of the battle was only the beginning for him.”
