Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.

Ember Spirit: “Guardian of the Flame.”

Xin, the Ember Spirit, is an agility hero from DotA and Dota 2. He can take on the role of a Carry or Nuker in the game. The pugnacious Poet is one of the few Nukers who also make a good Carry. Searing Chains ties enemy units in place around Ember Spirit and makes them take fire damage over time. Sleight of Fist moves quickly across a target area and deals bonus damage to enemy Heroes, but only half that to Creeps. The attack effects of items in Ember Spirit’s possession are added to the attack. Ember Spirit’s Flame Guard ability absorbs magic damage and deals fire damage to nearby enemies. Both of Flame Guard’s effects cease after the duration ends or a certain amount of magic damage is absorbed. The Ultimate Fire Remnant lets Ember Spirit create eponymous Fire Remnant charges that he can place on the map, with a maximum of three. The Remnants move themselves at 2.5 times Ember Spirit’s movement speed. If Ember Spirit uses Activate Fire Remnant, it moves towards the targeted Remnant, passing all others and causing them to explode, dealing area damage starting from it. You can’t improve Ember Spirit’s Ultimate with Aghanim’s Scepter. Ember Spirit appeared with the Three Spirits update, along with Earth Spirit.

Ember Spirit is very nimble and hard to catch. He attacks all nearby enemies in quick succession and can also hold them in place with flaming shackles. Because he can move across the battlefield to his flaming Remnants, this fire is difficult to put out.
