Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
Elder Titan: “It is only right that I am cast into this world, for I had a hand in breaking it.”
Elder Titan, the Worldsmith, is a strength hero from DotA and Dota 2. He is a relatively strong and intelligent Radiant melee unit that can compensate for the lack of agility with the help of his Astral Spirit. In the game, he can play the role of an initiator and durabler. With his first ability Echo Stomp, Elder Titan can stun and damage enemies after a channeling period, allowing them to wake up from their stun prematurely when attacked. His passive ability Natural Order lowers the base armor and base magic resistance of nearby enemies by a percentage. Elder Titan’s Astral Spirit can be freely used by it in a radius around him, damaging enemies he touches. After the ability’s effect expires, or by using Return Astral Spirit, it returns to Elder Titan and grants him a temporary bonus damage and bonus tempo, which is based on a percentage of the number of enemies damaged by the Astral Spirit. The Astral Spirit also has the Echo Stomp and Natural Order abilities, though it can only cast Echo Stomp at the same time as Elder Titan. Earth Splitter, the Worldsmith’s ultimate, splits the earth in its area of effect, allowing it to cut a swath through enemy lines. After a delay of about three seconds, all enemy units in its area of effect are damaged by a percentage of their Health and slowed by a percentage of their movement speed. Elder Titans Ultimate can be upgraded with Aghanim’s Scepter and will disarm all affected units as well.
Elder Titan- Hype
Elder Titan scouts the environment with his astral mind and can then strike from any direction. With a powerful stomp of his hooves, he prevents enemies from fleeing, his mere presence reduces their defense values, and then when he cleaves the earth itself, he inflicts great damage.
Elder Titan- Biography
“Some wonder, ‘How was this world given its form?’ Why does this very one of the many worlds of creation possess such wondrous qualities, its diverse and structureless collection of beings, cultures and legends. ‘The answer,’ one whispers, ‘lies with the Titans.’
These ancient ancestors have existed since almost the dawn of time, and though they cannot count themselves among the actual witnesses of creation, they are born with its lingering echoes in their ears. Influenced by the earliest energies of the universe, they desired nothing more than to continue in the role of creators themselves. And so they set to work shaping things to their will: hammering and heating, bending and breaking. And when it became apparent that ordinary things no longer presented challenges to them, they applied their tools to themselves, reshaping their minds and forging their souls until they had become beings of immense permanence. Eventually, reality itself became the object of their forging. From time to time, however, even they made a mistake or two, an unavoidable evil in great ambitions.
The one known as Elder Titan was a great trailblazer who had learned at the forge of creation. In the process of honing his skills, something broke that could no longer be repaired, but only cast aside. He lost himself in his own broken world, now a shattered soul itself. There he persevered among pointed shards and cracked plates, along with other lost fragments that had penetrated the cracks of the early universe. And this is the reason why the world we know reminds of an island of lepers, stranded of a long forgotten shipwreck. Forgotten by everyone except the one who blames himself for their loss. He tirelessly spends his days searching for a way to restore his broken soul, to repair us and the world alike. This is the one known to us as the Elder Titan.”
