Death Prophet: “What I’ve seen goes far beyond death.”
Krobelus, the Death Prophet, is an Intelligence heroine from DotA and Dota 2. She is a ranged Dire unit whose Ultimate ability can deal great damage against enemies and buildings. In the game, she can play the role of a pusher, nuker and durabler. Her Crypt ability can deal a large amount of area damage, while her Silence can silence enemy heroes, temporarily limiting their ability to act. Her passive ability Witchcraft reduces the cooldown and mana cost of Crypt and Silence, increasing her own movement speed and the number of spirits for her ultimate. Krobelus is among both the most effective and easiest pushers in the game. Her Ultimate Exorcism summons a number of spirits, dependent on her own level and Witchcraft ability, that can attack and damage enemies and buildings. In doing so, they steal a small portion of the drained health and return it to Death Prophet as healing after the effect ends. Exorcism cannot be improved with Aghanim’s Scepter.
Death Prophet- Hype
When she unleashes her army of ghosts, Death Prophet excels at demolishing enemies and their defenses alike. Leading her team’s forces toward the enemy base with wave after damaging wave from her swarm, her onslaught can seem unstoppable.
Death Prophet- Biography
“Krobelus was a Death Prophet, which is a way of saying that she foretold the fate of the richest who wished to see behind the veil. But after years of researching for others, she began to seek clues to her own fate. When death refused to reveal its secrets, she tried to buy them with her life. But the ultimate sacrifice proved insufficient. Death spurned her again and again, keeping his greatest secrets. Her jealousy grew. Others could die for eternity – why not her? Why was she alone brought back to the shores of life with wearying regularity? Why was she not worthy of the one thing that all other living creatures were born to do? Still, she refused to be discouraged. Each time she rose again from the grave, she took a part of death with her. Ghostly apparitions followed her like fragments of her shattered soul, her blood became thin and ectoplasmic, she became a creature of the twilight…. She gave a small part of her life with each passing and she imagined her end in sight. With her now double devotion to Death and no other client than herself, Krobelus only threw herself more passionately into the abyss of death, intent on fulfilling the one prophecy that refused to be fulfilled: That Death Prophet would one day not rise from her grave.”
Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
