Heroes Dota 2 – Clockwerk

Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.

Clockwerk: “Hard on the outside, but with a soft delicious center.”

Rattletrap aka Clockwerk is a hero from DotA and Dota 2. Clockwerk is a melee unit of Radiant. In the game, he can take on the role of an Initiator and Durabler. His abilities make Clockwerk suitable for scouting remote areas or ambushes, among other things. Battery Assault lets Clockwerk fire shrapnel at surrounding enemies, dealing damage and briefly stunning them, and Power Cogs surrounds Rattletrap with a ring of gears, allowing him to trap enemy units with him. To destroy them, enemy Einhieten need two to three hits, while Clockwerk himself needs only one. In addition, enemies that are outside the trap and attack it take damage, lose mana, and are knocked back. Flare allows Clockwerk to fire a flare at a target point, revealing the area as it passes by on its way to it, briefly revealing the target area and damaging any enemy units within it. Rocket Flare has no limitation in its range. Clockwerk can use his Ultimate Hook Shot to transport himself to another unit. If this is an enemy unit, it will be damaged and briefly stunned. Enemy units between Clockwerk and his target also receive damage and are briefly stunned. Aghanim’s Scepter reduces the cooldown of the ultimate.

Clockwerk- Hype

Using a grappling hook, Clockwerk catapults himself into the midst of his enemies, isolating individual targets and then bombarding them with stunning shrapnel. Since he has an arsenal of flares that can light up the battlefield at any time, he can always find a next target.

Clockwerk- Biography

“Rattletrap is descended from the same far-flung ancestors as Sniper and Tinker. And like many of the Keen, he balances his diminutive stature with technical gadgetry and acumen. The grandson of a watchmaker, Rattletrap also learned the craft for many years, until war rolled down from the mountains and wiped out such guileless trades in the villages of the plains. ‘Your new craft is war,’ his dying father commanded him when his ancestral village lay in charred and smoking ruins.

Only a bad craftsman blames his tools, and Rattletrap never made excuses. After burying his father among the ruins of their village, he set out to transform himself into the finest tool of warfare any world had ever seen. Vowing never to be caught unprepared again, he used his gift to a machine-powered clockwork tank that makes the knights of other lands look like tin cans in comparison. Now Rattletrap lives with his devices – a small but deadly warrior whose skill in conducting ambushes and destruction has reached almost machine-like efficiency. An artisan of death, his mechanizations make short work of the unwary, heralding the dawn of a new age of warfare. What time is it? Time for Clockwerk!”
