Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.

Chaos Knight: “Where ride the horsemen, death shall follow.”

Chaos Knight (Chaos Knight) is a strength hero from DotA and Dota 2. He is a Dire melee unit whose abilities have a lot to do with chance. In the game, he can take the role of a Carry, Disabler, Durabler and Pusher. Chaos Bolt allows Chaos Knight to deal random damage to a selected enemy and stun them for a random amount of time. Reality Rift teleports Chaos Knight, his copies, and an enemy Hero to a random point between them, granting Chaos Knight additional damage. His passive ability Chaos Strike is also relatively random, allowing him to land a critical hit on 10% of all hits. His Ultimate Phantasm creates up to four copies of him, with three of these copies always being created at the ultimate’s highest level and an additional one, which can be generated at a 50% chance, only sometimes. Chaos Knight’s copies inflict the same damage as the original, but also take twice as much damage as Chaos Knight himself. Chaos Knight’s Ultimate cannot be improved with Aghanim’s Scepter.

Chaos Knight is a one-man army. Together with his clones, he forms a cavalry that effortlessly tears down the enemy’s defenses. He pulls unwary enemies towards him by bending reality and then makes them feel the full power of his weapon.

“A veteran of countless battles on a thousand worlds, Chaos Knight greets you from a far upstream plane where the fundamental rules of the universe have achieved consciousness. Of all the ancient principles, he is the oldest and most restless, endlessly searching for a being he knows only as ‘The Light’. Thousands of times he has tracked down the source, and always he moves to another plane to begin his search again.

Riding on his steed Armageddon, he plunges into battle with mad frenzy, drawing his strength from the disorder of the universe. A manifestation of chaos, he summons other versions of himself from other planes in times of need, and unstoppable as the forces of nature, these dark riders ride into battle together.
