Heroes Dota 2 – Beastmaster

Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.

Beastmaster: “Meet your master… Beastmaster!”

Karroch, the Beastmaster, is a hero from DotA and Dota 2. He is a melee fighter and belongs to the Radiant. In the game, Beastmaster can play the role of Initiator, Disabler and Durabler. Wild Axes allow Beastmaster to throw his two axes through enemy lines and hurt any unit in that trajectory. They can also be used to destroy trees. Both Call of the Wild abilities summon a beast that Beastmaster can control. The first of the two Call of the Wild abilities summons a hawk that Beastmaster can use to scout areas and that becomes invisible once it stops moving for a while. The second Call of the Wild skill summons a boar, which reduces the enemy’s movement and attack speed with its attack. Both abilities are upgraded at the same time, but the boar is only available from the second level of the ability. The Inner Beast passive ability increases the attack speed of Beastmaster and surrounding allies. Its Ultimate Primal Roar can be used on an enemy hero to initiate fights. It damages and stuns the target, knocking aside all units between Beastmaster and the target. Units in the way are damaged and slowed in their attack and movement speed. Aghanim’s Scepter reduces the cooldown of Karroch’s Ultimate and increases its range.

Beastmaster- Hype

Beastmaster summons a poison-spewing boar and an all-seeing hawk to help him hunt on the battlefield. With his throwing axes he cuts a swath through the forest and his mighty cry paves the way for allies to destroy their enemies.

Beastmaster- Biography

“Karroch is a child from a good family. However, his mother died at his birth and his father, a blacksmith in the service of the last king of Slom, was trampled to death when Karroch was just five years old. He was later enlisted to work in the king’s menagerie, where he grew up among the animals of the royal court – lions, monkeys, deer, and creatures far less known, not even believed in. When he was seven years old, an adventurer paraded a never-before-seen beast. When it was dragged in chains before the king, it spoke, but its mouth did not move. The creature asked to be released, but the king only laughed and ordered it to entertain him. When it refused, however, he struck it with his scepter and ordered it added to the rest of his collection. Over the next few months, Karroch secretly provided the wounded creature with food and healing potions, but only managed to slow the creature’s deterioration. The beast spoke wordlessly to Karroch, as it had before, and an intimate relationship developed between the two that deepened over time until the boy discovered that he, too, could communicate in this way – with all the animals in the king’s collection. On the night the beast died, the boy was overcome with unbridled rage. He incited the animals to rebel against the king and opened their cages to let them rampage through the palace grounds. The king was mauled during the mayhem. Amidst the chaos, a majestic stag presented itself to the boy who freed it, and with him, the Beastmaster, on its back, climbed the high palace rampart and escaped. Karroch the Beastmaster is now a – Season ed man and has not lost his ability to speak with wild creatures. He is now a warrior as ferocious as nature itself.”
