Batrider: “Got a bat’s eye view of the battle.”
Batrider (Bat Rider), is an Intelligence hero from DotA and Dota 2. The Batrider is a ranged Dire unit that flies into battle on a bat and has relatively low visibility. In the game, Batrider can take on the role of an Initiator, Disabler, Nukers and Escapers. Sticky Napalm allows him to increase the damage he and his abilities deal in a target area and slow down all affected enemies. For non-heroes, the effect of the ability is halved. Sticky Napalm’s short cooldown allows it to be used multiple times in succession on the same area, again increasing Batrider’s damage. Flamebreak lets Batrider throw a Molotov cocktail at a target point, knocking apart and briefly stunning all surrounding enemies. His third ability, Firefly, lets Batrider’s bat fly higher and trail a tail of fire behind him, damaging enemies and burning down forests. While Firefly is active, Batrider can also fly over areas that are otherwise impassable. Firefly combines well with Batrider’s Ultimate Flaming Lasso, as he can use it to lasso a selected enemy unit behind him. You can improve Flaming Lasso with Aghanim’s Scepter to cast the lasso on two enemies and deal damage.
Batrider- Hype
Once airborne, Batrider can strike from any direction. He catches an enemy with his lasso, climbs to above the treetops and drags his prey, through a trail of flame, to his merciless allies.
Batrider- Biography
“Among the creatures of the Yama Raskav jungle, such a thing as harmony does not exist. The slightest sign of weakness here means a quick death by bites, claws, shears or hooves. It is said that the Rider was just a boy cutting straw in his family’s field when he was carried away by a giant bat in search of prey. But this boy would not resign himself to his fate, wriggled out of his captor’s grasp and onto his back, knocking him down with his tool. As he climbed down from the lifeless body, still intoxicated with the thrill of flight, the boy realized that he had found his destiny. The boy grew up and returned to his family’s field each summer, often intent on reliving the thrill in the face of death in the form of strong jaws or a fatal fall. Years passed and his passion grew steadily stronger. He explored the vegetation and pushed deeper and deeper into the jungle on each of his expeditions until he finally found a way to the caves. It is said that the Rider had nothing but a rope, a bottle of liquid courage and a burning desire to feel the sky one more time when he entered the cave on the evening of a hot summer night…”
Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
