Bane: “Your Nightmare is here.”
Atropos, the Bane Elemental or Bane (Curse), is an intelligence hero from DotA and Dota 2. With his abilities, Bane is suitable as a support hero, since he can incapacitate enemy units or greatly weaken their attack. He is a ranged combat unit of the Dire. Although Bane is an Intelligence hero, his three attributes have the same level and growth. In the game, he can play the role of a Disabler, Nuker and Support. Eneeble reduces an enemy unit’s physical attack for 20 seconds and can temporarily render some opponents all but incapacitated, especially early in the game. Brain Sap drains Health from an enemy unit, which Bane receives as healing for the same amount. Bane’s third ability, Nightmare, can cause opponents, himself, or allies to fall into a deep sleep. In this sleep they are incapacitated, receive damage over time and can die as a result. If you attack a unit that is under the effect of Nightmare, the effect is transferred to the attacker. Only Bane himself can immediately end the effect of Nightmare, if it is on him, by Nightmare End. Bane’s Ultimate Fiend’s Grip has a channeling effect, trapping an enemy unit that takes massive damage and loses a percentage of its mana to Bane. Aghanim’s Scepter increases the damage and mana gain from Fiend’s Grip.
Bane- Hype
Bane spreads terror among his enemies with his arsenal of paralyzing abilities. Whether he’s tying up an enemy in a contagious nightmare or holding an opponent in place, he gives his allies all the time they need to destroy their enemies.
Bane- Biography
“When the gods have nightmares, Bane Elemental is the messenger. Bane, also known as Atropos, was born from the never-ending night terrors of the goddess Nyctasha. His terrorizing power once became so strong that, fed by her immortality, he escaped dreams and formed his form from her inky black blood. He is the incarnation of fear. To every mortal who hears his voice, he whispers the darkest secrets in his ear. He brings out the darkest fears from the heart of every hero. Even being awake is not a way out, because Bane’s constantly dripping black blood draws his enemies into the nightmare. In Bane’s presence, every hero learns to fear the darkness.”
Heroes (Dota 2)
The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.
Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
