Heroes Dota 2 – Anti-Mage

Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an event boss opponent. The Dueling Fates update announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.

Anti-Mage: “I bring an end to magic.”

Magina, the Anti-Mage, is an hero from DotA and Dota 2. He is a magic-hating melee fighter who belongs to the Radiant. In the game, he can take on the role of a Carry and Escaper. Anti-Mage has two passive abilities: Mana Break and Spell Shield. Mana Break lets Anti-Mage destroy mana of the opponent with each melee attack and inflict damage equal to 60% of the burned mana. Spell Shield increases Anti-Mage’s resistance to magic damage by up to 50%. Blink allows Anti-Mage to teleport to a specific point within a limited radius. As a declared enemy of magic, Anti-Mage’s ultimate ability Mana Void is especially useful against Intelligence heroes. It allows Anti-Mage to inflict damage on enemy heroes for every point of Mana missing. While Mana Void can be cast on a target unit, it also deals damage to surrounding units within a small radius. Anti-Mage’s ultimate cannot be improved with Aghanim’s Scepter.

Anti-Mage- Hype

Once Anti-Mage finds full strength, few can stop him. Each blow destroys enemy mana, and a short-range teleport allows him to escape an ambush. Cornering him becomes a challenge for his enemies.

Anti-Mage- Biography

“The monks of Turstarkuri watched as wave after wave of invaders swept through the lands of the rocky valley at the foot of their mountain monastery. Secluded in their remote eyrie, the hermits were spared the worldly strife, immersed in deep meditation that knows neither gods nor magic. But then came the legion of the God of Death, whose only goal was to corrupt all worship with the nihilosophy of their undead ruler. They unleashed all the souls and bodies of the armies that had fallen in the land plagued by a thousand years of war and sent them towards Turstarkuri. The monastery barely withstood the attacks for two weeks. The few among the monks who broke away from meditation in the mistaken belief that the invaders were nothing more than demonic visions, died still on their silk pillows. Only one youth survived – a pilgrim who had come to the monastery as an altar boy to find wisdom, but had not yet been accepted by the consecrated. Filled with horror, he watched as the monks, to whom he had served tea and nettles only moments before, were slaughtered and their resurrected souls subsequently joined the ranks of the god of death. With no more than a few of Turstarkuri’s touted scrolls of spells, he escaped to the supposed safety of the surrounding lands, vowing not only to eradicate the Death God’s magic, but to put an end to all magic itself.”
