Heroes Dota 2 – Ancient Apparition

Ancient Apparition: “The Age of Ice begins!”

Kaldr, the Ancient Apparition, is an hero from DotA and Dota 2. He is a ranged Dire unit that can cast powerful ice spells. In the game, he can take on the role of a support and disabler. Ancient Apparition is especially useful for slowing down enemy units, but it can also cause a lot of damage. With Cold Feet, he can temporarily freeze a small area, dealing damage to enemies and freezing them if they stop in that area. Ice Vortex also covers a small area, additionally slowing enemy movement speed and increasing the magic damage enemies take. Chilling Touch allows him to add additional magic damage to attacks from himself and allies, but this also reduces their attack speed. If Ancient Apparition casts Chilling Touch on a target point, all allies within that area will be affected, while he will receive the effect even if he is not in it. Kaldr’s Ultimate Ice Blast lets him shoot an ice sphere that can be fired across the entire map. The first projectile Kaldr fires lets him determine the aiming point of the second projectile. The greater the distance between Anicent Apparition and its target, the greater Ice Blast’s radius of effect. Ice Blast adds minor damage over time to hit enemies, but also prevents their regeneration and any form of healing. Aghanim’s Scepter extends the duration of Ice Blast’s effect.

Ancient Apparition- Hype

Able to launch a powerful blast of damaging ice across the battlefield, Ancient Apparition threatens to shatter weakened enemies wherever they are. Slowing enemies as he enhances his allies’ effectiveness in battle, he is a constant threat to his foes.

Ancient Apparition- Biography

“Kaldr, the Ancient Apparition, is an image projected from outside time. He springs from the cold, infinite void, which is older than the universe and will outlast it. Kaldr is, Kaldr was, Kaldr will be… and yet, despite its immense power, all that we perceive of it is nothing more than an extremely faint, indistinct echo of the true, eternal Kaldr. Some believe that Kaldr’s brilliance and power will increase as the cosmos ages toward its demise – that the Ancient Apparition will grow younger and stronger as eternity draws closer to its end. His icy grip will bring all matter to a standstill and his image will shine monstrously, beyond all imagination. He will no longer be an apparition!”

Heroes (Dota 2)

The heroines and heroes (original: “Heroes”) are the primary playable entities in DotA and Dota 2. In a game, each player takes control of one of the 112 playable heroines and heroes. Each hero and heroine is a character with different attributes, abilities and roles. Each heroine and hero can also be categorized by the default attacks, which happen either in melee or ranged attacks.

Valve plans to develop their own heroines and heroes for Dota 2 after the release of the classic heroines and heroes from DotA Allstars, as Erik Johnson previously announced in a 2014 interview. After the release of Arc Warden in December 2015 and that of Underlord in August 2016, the first hero developed exclusively for Dota 2, Monkey King, appeared in winter 2016, although it was at least based on concepts from classic DotA and appeared there as an boss opponent. The Dueling Fates announced in August 2017 confirmed the release of two completely redesigned heroes.
