Tvelin was a Russian soldier from Call of Duty: Black Ops. He was under the command of Unit 45 of the Red Army’s 3rd Assault Squad under the command of Nikita Dragovich and his right-hand man Lev Kravchenko.
Biography
Operation in the Arctic Circle, 1945
On October 29, 1945, Tvelin, together with Viktor Reznov and Dimitri Petrenko, fought in the Arctic Circle to eliminate the last German soldiers. Together with his commanders, he raided the German barracks and thus helped to find Friedrich Steiner, a German scientist with a “secret weapon”, and bring him to safety.
Death
The same day Steiner was rescued, came to an old ship caught in the ice to get to the “secret weapon”, Nova 6. When they arrived at the chambers, Dragovich wanted to see the effect of the nerve gas for himself and put his entire team (excluding: Friedrich Steiner and Lev Kravchenko) into two chambers. For the time being he was lucky, because he was in the right chamber, and the first to be sprayed was the left one. When the ship was attacked by British soldiers, he was lucky again and the British accidentally shot the door open and Tvelin and two others were able to get on deck. Just before Tvelin could escape, he was shot by the British.
