Royce is a character from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and a member of Task Force 141. You can see him in the mission Access.
History
Royce appears with Ghost and Meat when Rojas’ assistant tries to escape. They pursue him, but he starts a fire at a busy intersection and civilians start running, causing a big accident. After reaching him, Roach, Royce and Meat try to clean up the favelas while Ghost and Soap tickle the information out of the assistant. The three soldiers in the slum come under heavy fire from the Brazilian militia. Meat is killed, but Roach and Royce try to fight through despite the loss. Shortly after, Royce is also caught when the two encounter a large number of enemies.
Info
• If you play on Recruit difficulty, it’s even possible (though very difficult) to keep Royce alive by locking him in a hut and protecting him.
• You can also kill Royce yourself without being punished for friendly fire.
• Royce does not appear in the museum. Next to the driver is a man who looks like Meat.
• Sometimes Royce is clean-shaven.
• Royce’s beard sometimes changes after shooting the assistant in the leg. His M4A1 can also surprisingly get an M203, or just lose it.
• Royce can also die by being stabbed in the chest by a Brazilian. In this case, he doesn’t yell that he’s been hit.
• Even if the player successfully manages to keep Royce and Meat alive at the beginning, they have no chance of survival, because in the rest of the level’s proceedings, according to the game, they do not exist. That is, after getting through the first neighborhood, they are simply finished off by snipers, much like some soldiers in Team Player.
• Sometimes you see a character named Royce in the mission The Gulag.
• By the time Royce lets Roach know he’s been hit, his body is already lying on the ground like a corpse.
• Ghost, Royce and Meat all spawn outside the map, from where they would normally also start the chase with Rojas’ assistant at the intersection. If you come out of the map and find the three, you can kill them all without being penalized.
• Royce is the only NPC who really always carries an M4A1.
Heroes (Call of Duty)
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
