Lev Kravchenko (Ukrainian: Лев Кравченко) is the secondary antagonist in Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. He is the second hand of Dragovich. Because of him, the SOG was sent to Vietnam. Kravchenko is often seen as Dragovich’s gun dog, carrying out his orders.
He is a cold-hearted sadist without compassion. The player recognizes pure evil when Kravchenko shoots captured, German soldiers in the mission Project Nova.Kravchenko dies in the mission Payback when he was about to kill Mason. Woods jammed a knife into Kravchenko’s back at the last second. Undaunted, the latter wanted to kill everyone and pulled the pins out of his grenades. Woods sacrificed himself for Mason and pushed himself out the window with Kravchenko. After the big explosion, Mason sees Woods as a shadow, but it turns out to be Reznov. In any other regime, Colonel Kravchenko would be locked away. Remaining mostly silent, he carries out his master’s orders without question. A rumor from his village outside Leningrad tells of Kravchenko’s mutilation and murder of his sister Irina, this rumor pleased Dragovich. This act of loyalty, as the rumor goes, led directly to his commission as an officer under Dragovich’s command.
Similar to Dragovich, Kravchenko detested Viktor Reznov. However, his reasons are much more than those of the banal Dragovich: Kravchenko gives his leadership only in the hands of his general.
Kravchenko is a man built leader of war. He is a ruthless and immoral officer and his “thirst for blood” must be “quenched.” He is aggressive and impatient, but not vindictive. He does not want to see the past but his next action, and therefore he will always remain a weapon of war. Kravchenko enjoys the suffering of others, it is one of the few things that can stimulate something like a human feeling inside him.
Kravchenko is “killed” in Payback when Woods stabs Kravchenko in the back with a knife before he can kill Mason. In his last breath, Kravchenko says “You will die with me!”. He pulls a string to detonate all the grenades on his suit. Thinking quickly, Woods grabs Kravchenko and jumps out the window of his office, apparently sacrificing himself to save Mason. A huge explosion sounds and the player should assume that Woods and Kravchenko are dead. However, Woods survives because the grenades went off under the flight, thus only injuring both of them. He later reappears in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. He appears in the mission Old Wounds, in which he launches an attack against the rebels in Afghanistan. After being overpowered by Woods and Mason, he was tied to a chair. Mason’s inner voice “forced” him to kill Kravchenko. The player can decide here if he resists or follows his command. If he resists, Woods shoots him at the end and it comes to the same end.
Heroes (Call of Duty)
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
