Captain John Price is a high-ranking officer from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Life
Price was born and raised in a small suburb of London on October 2, 1972. His grandfather fought in North Africa and France during World War II. He looks remarkably like his grandfather. He also volunteered at an early age.
Military career
During the Cold War, Price worked his way up to sergeant in the British Paratroopers. He then graduated from an officer training school. In 1990, he joined the SAS. There he was also promoted to captain. During the two wars he fought alongside John “Soap” MacTavish and after 2011 was taken prisoner in a gulag on the Russian peninsula of Kamchatka. He was freed in 2016 during the Russian invasion of the United States by Task Force 141, which included Soap, Garry “Roach” Sanderson and Simon “Ghost” Riley.
After his liberation, he goes against Lieutenant General Hershel von Shepherd’s orders to concentrate on finding Makkarov and sets off with some men for Petropavlovsk to a Russian submarine loaded with intercontinental ballistic missiles. The task force captures the submarine and Price launches one of the missiles into orbit around the U.S. East Coast, using the EMP to disrupt the mobile invasion.
Later in the hunt for Makkarov, Price and the rest of Task Force 141 are betrayed by General Shepherd. After Price succeeds in contacting Makkarov and learning from him Sheperd’s residence, Hotel Bravo in Afghanistan, he and Soap set out to kill Sheperd. After a tough fight with the Shadow Company, which is directly subordinate to Sheperd, and after a chase, Price and Soap capture Sheperd. Soap suffers a severe stab wound in the fight with him. Price tends to his wounds for the moment and the two are rescued by Nikolai. Price is currently on the run as he is wanted internationally for war crimes along with Soap.
He escapes with Soap to northern India, but has to flee from there again because Makarov’s men attack their safe house. After that, Price, Yuri and Soap hunt Makarov all over the world. From Sierra Leone to Somalia to Prague. When Soap dies in Prague, Price and Yuri continue their search alone. They also free the Russian president from captivity with Makarov’s people.
Finally, they find Makarov on the Arabian Peninsula. He and Yuri storm his hideout. Just as Makarov is about to escape in a helicopter, Price is able to stop him. Yuri, however, is shot, but Price kills Makarov and then smokes a cigar in comfort.
Heroes (Call of Duty)
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
