Jacob Hendricks is a character from Call of Duty: Black Ops III, and he accompanies the player in every single mission of the campaign.
Personal life and early career
Jacob Hendricks was born on April 14 of the year 2027 in Clarksburg, in western Virginia of the United States. In 2045 he graduated from high school at the top of his class. In 2049, he was also recruited into the U.S. Special Forces after graduating from West Point Military Academy. He then rose to the rank of major by 2056. On November 6, 2065, he dies at the age of 38 while on an unofficial assignment in Zurich.
Transformation to cyber soldier
On October 27, 2065, the Winslow Accord is sent to Ethiopia with John Taylor’s team to rescue Egyptian Prime Minister Said. During his extraction, one of his people is accidentally left behind and severely used by an enemy robot. After his rescue and subsequent operation to become a cyber soldier as well as Taylor and his people, Hendricks decides to do the same, even though he came home from the rescue mission without any injuries.
Hunting Taylor’s Team
After uncovering a betrayal by Taylor and his team along with the player, he and his comrade were sent after his old allies. From Singapore to a few Egyptian cities, Taylor & Co. were hunted by them. The first target was Sebastian Diaz, who was killed in the old Coalescence Corporation facility in Singapore. Next, the player was set on Sarah Hall, who also succumbed to him and was killed. However, the two died by calling their memory with the help of a DNI. Peter Maretti, the penultimate target, was killed in a duel with the player on an Egyptian oil rig. Finally, John Taylor himself was shot by Hendricks in Cairo. Hendricks then fled without the player and attacked the city of Zurich to make Sebastian Krueger pay for his crimes there.
DNI infection
As Taylor’s team was completely infected with an infection of their DNI, Hendricks was also infected by the bond with Diaz, which slowly robbed him of his mind and became completely controlled by the virus Corvus, just like Taylor before cutting out his DNI shortly before his death.
Hostage situation
When Zurich was obliterated, Hendricks used the chaos to bring Sebastian Krueger to justice, as he was partly responsible for human experimentation being conducted when the Singapore disaster broke out. When the player finally caught up with Hendricks, Hendricks Krueger threatened him with a gun and took it as a human shield. Meanwhile, however, the player pointed his gun at Hendricks, hesitating to shoot him because he firmly believed Hendricks couldn’t help it since Corvus had completely taken over his mind. Finally, Hendricks snapped and shot Krueger. A few moments later, the player shot Hendricks in the head, killing him before he hit the ground.
Heroes (Call of Duty)
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
