Gaz is a character from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. He was a member of the 22nd British SAS. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 he appears in the intro.
Credenhill, England
Gaz gets his first appearance in the mission The New Guy in Credenhill, England. He teaches John “Soap” MacTavish how to shoot.
Bering Strait
On the first day, the Bravo team of the 22nd SAS Regiment is helicoptered onto a freighter. But when the freighter ultimately began to sink, he and the rest of the Bravo team escaped by Big-Bird.
Caucasus, Russia
On day two, Gaz and the Bravo team head to Russia. Shortly after the execution of President Al-Fulani by Al-Asad, Nikolai, the Russian contact for the SAS, was captured. Now Gaz and the rest of the team go in search of him to rescue and evacuate him. They are eventually able to free Nikolai and evacuate him by helicopter.
North Azerbaijan
After over 30,000 United States Marine Corps soldiers were wiped out by a nuclear bomb in Iran, Al-Asad fled to North Azerbaijan to his hideout. With the USMC invasion having failed, the British 22nd Special Air Service now takes up the trail to Al-Asad. Gaz and the rest of the team eventually find Al-Asad and interrogate him. They find another mastermind and shoot Al-Asad.
Eight hours after Al-Asad’s death, Gaz and the rest of the team enter a bloody battle. A helicopter can’t evacuate the team for at least 30 minutes. With booby traps, they now had to hold the position around the evacuation zone. They are finally able to make their way to the helicopter and escape the area.
Southern Russia
This mission finds the USMC and SAS teaming up to hunt down Imran Zakhaev’s son, Viktor Zakhaev. As the team was about to arrest Viktor, he took his pistol and committed suicide in front of Gaz and co.
Altai Mountains, Russia
After the death of Viktor Zakhaev, the team continues to the Altai Mountains. One of their men, Griggs, had been lost and taken hostage by enemy forces. Gaz and the team set out and rescued him. Afterwards, they still had to destroy a missile in the air.
In order to be evacuated, the team had to go to the secondary landing zone, as the primary one has been destroyed. The secondary is located south of a bridge. But on the way there, the radar shows a very high enemy presence. After a helicopter takes out the team, Imran Zakhaev appears on the bridge and shoots Griggs. Just as Gaz was about to pull himself together, Zakhaev glances at him briefly and shoots him. Soap, however, avenges Gaz and Griggs by killing Zakhaev with an M1911 that Price gave him.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
