Gabriel Rorke is a character from Call of Duty: Ghosts. He is also the main antagonist of the campaign.
Biography
Gabriel Rorke is a former Marine and was a member of the Ghosts before he apparently died. Two years before ODIN, Rorke convinced the US President to lead an invasion against General Almagro, which he leads. With Elias Walker, Thomas Merrick and Alex “Ajax” Johnson, he assassinated Almagro, killing him at the hands of Walker. But when the helicopter they were in crashed and threatened to fall into raging waters and kill everyone, Elias had to decide whether to save everyone or have everyone die. To save everyone, he had to let go of Rorke and let him die. Elias let go of him and Rorke fell into the rushing water. The Ghosts then searched for his body but did not find him, not knowing that the Federation had already found Rorke and brainwashed him to hunt down and execute the Ghosts. His first victim was “Ajax”, whom he tortured in San Diego on June 7 in the mission Defeated and then let succumb to his injuries. After his capture by the Ghosts in the Gulf of Mexico, he was held in a plane, but it was destroyed by Federation troops, thus freeing Rorke. He then has Elias, along with his two sons, captured and tied to a chair. Before he can shoot Elias in the head, he first shoots his son Logan and then shoots Elias up to five times in his chest. When the rest of the Ghosts manage to escape, however, the Ghosts hunt down Rorke a few days later and find him on a train. Hesh and Rorke get into a duel and Logan has an empty revolver in his hand. Hesh becomes him a handful of cartridges. This gives Logan one shot to take out Rorke. Logan scores a through shot through Rorke, Hesh and the glass, which breaks and floods everything with water. Logan drags his brother ashore and Hesh asks Merrick to evacuate. Logan, however, gets kicked shortly after and tries to fight back with his knife. As he is about to stab, he recognizes the injured Rorke as the attacker, whom he actually assumed to be dead. Rorke drags Logan away from his brother and wants to brainwash him just like the Federation did to him back then, to make Logan a “ghost killer”.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
