Early life
Steiner was born on June 11, 1904, in Hamburg, Germany. Otherwise, nothing is known about his life before the war.

World War 2

Before the war, Steiner was considered a genius who was able to secure several diplomas. As a result, the Waffen SS formally begged for his services so that he could help on the project with its many wonder . His role was to develop Nova 6, which began in January 1943, a gas with such lethal effects that even its own maker was shocked. The nerve agent was to be used as a final secret weapon against the Allies, but Germany lost the war before it could be thoroughly tested.

After the war

Toward the end of the war, Steiner was part of the unit that was to send missiles Nova 6 to the United States, but his cargo ship was so badly damaged by British bombers that it became stuck in ice. Germany still tried to get as much ashore as possible, but lost the war. In order to still get something out for himself, Steiner defected to the Soviet Union and was placed by a task force led by Reznov and Dimitri Petrenko. From this he was taken to Nikita Dragovich and Lev Kravchenko. While Steiner wanted to prove to the devious Dragovich how Nova 6 worked, he used it to kill almost all of Reznov’s task force, including Petrenko, however, a British raiding party suddenly broke in and Reznov and the rest of his men escaped from the cargo ship. Reznov sought revenge forever from that day on against Steiner, the murderer of his friend and comrade Dimitri Petrenko.
Although Reznov destroyed the remaining Nova 6 stockpile during his escape from the ship, Steiner spent the next 23 years working on an improved version of the toxin, which became the focus of the conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union.

Isle of Rebirth

After his role in the creation of Nova 6 became known, Steiner became a very high target on the SOG’s list. The location of his factory in the Ural Mountains was released by Daniel Clarke, a former scientist who participated in Project Nova before he fled. When Jason Hudson and Grigori Weaver reached the factory, Steiner once again tried to save his skin and contacted the two. Not only did he spill the beans about Dragovich’s plans, he had an even better detail in store – in 36 hours, America would be attacked by sleeper cells using Nova 6. Steiner offered to tell the SOG how to repel the attack, provided they could get him off the Isle of Rebirth.
h4 Death

Before Hudson and Weaver could reach the German, he was already executed by Alex Mason, who acted on the belief that he had finally given Reznov his revenge. When one of the interrogators stated that they had needed Steiner alive, Mason said that the numbers in his head had ordered him to act that way.

h4 Aftermath

When Woods tells Alex Mason’s son, David, the story of Reznov, he also briefly mentions Frederick Steiner.
h4 Info

Before entering the destroyed cargo ship with Nova 6, Dragovich, Kravchenko, Petrenko, Reznov and Steiner took a picture together, which can be viewed in Kravchenko’s underground labs.
He is the German ally in the history of Call of Duty.
Before going into the ship, you can see that Steiner is carrying a Mosin-Nagant, which appears to have a pistol grip. This pistol grip comes from the Walther P38, which is glitched through the rifle.
On the secret information page from the Mass Destruction mission his name is misspelled, there it is “Freidrich Steiner”.
Steiner is a true opportunist, first he plays into the cards of the Soviet Union, until he realizes that his usefulness there is used up, so he tries to support America. Due to his untimely death, it doesn’t work out in the end.
He is the only antagonist in Call of Duty: Black Ops who is shot with a gun. His successor is Lev Kravchenko, who meets his death by an M1911 in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
