Fidel Castro’s doppelganger was the doppelganger of Fidel Castro in Call of Duty: Black Ops. He appears in the mission “Operation 40”. When Frank Woods and Alex Mason try to kill the supposed Fidel Castro, he takes one of his maids as a human shield.
Through precise shooting, however, they are able to kill the fake Fidel Castro. But suddenly the maid grabs the gun of “Fidel Castro” and wants to kill Frank Woods and Alex Mason. However, thanks to Frank Woods’ reflexes, he is able to kill the maid in time. He is shot by the assassin organization Operation 40 in the “Crisis of Cuba”.
Trivia
• When the player holds the crosshairs over the head of the dead “Fidel Castro”, it still appears red, as if the enemy is still alive.
• The player receives an achievement/trophy called “Death to Dictators” when he kills “Fidel Castro” by shooting him in the head.
• When the player kills “Fidel Castro” by shooting him in the head, there is a slow motion effect that tracks the bullet, all the way to his forehead.
• Before you shoot “Fidel Castro”, you will receive an ASP, no matter what weapon you have. If you have already exchanged the ASP for another weapon before, you can’t use the ASP you get before the kill after the assassination.
• In the PC version of the game, you can discover a “bug”. If you use the “noclip” cheat and “walk” through the room where “Fidel Castro” is, he holds an ASP in his hand as if it were a machine gun.
• Because of this “little thing”, Call of Duty: Black Ops caused a negative stir in Cuba and comes under heavy criticism, as people are “called upon” to carry out an assassination attempt on Fidel Castro, which is why Black Ops was banned in Cuba.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
