Sgt. Donald Roebuck is a US Marine Corp from Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: World at War: Final Fronts. He fought in the Pacific with the US Marines during World War II. His trademark is his mohawk haircut and the machete on his back. He is with the United States Marine Corps and with the 1st Marine Division.
Life before World War II
Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on August 23, 1918, his father was a World War I lieutenant. He, too, served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Don often skipped school. He was kicked out of school when he set fire to the principal’s car at his high school. He then worked at his father’s gas station until he enlisted in the USMC after the German attack on Poland in September 1939. Just before the attack on Pearl Harbor, he joined the Marine Raiders. Don did not have a combat assignment until 1942, when he had to rescue Private Miller from a Japanese POW camp.
In World War II
After rescuing Miller, Roebuck fought with Pfc. Miller and Sgt. Sullivan as a corporal on islands such as Guadalcanal, Bougainville and Cape Gloucester.
In September 1944, he goes ashore with the USMC on Peleliu. Shortly after landing, Tom Sullivan dies and Don is promoted to sergeant. He must now lead the men of his squad across the Peleliu airfield and into the Peleliu hills.
In April 1945, he and the men of the 1st Marine Division go ashore on the island of Okinawa. Roebuck leads the men through the mountainous landscape of Okinawa.
After World War II
After the war, Don went back to Wichita Falls, where he struggled to adjust to civilian life. Until 1947, he did nothing at all. He was plagued by terrible nightmares until one day he went to the Wichita Falls pastor and renounced his fear. He then studied law, working as a bus driver to pay his bills. While in law school, he also met his wife, Carol. He became a prominent attorney in Houston, Texas. He died in 1995.
Final Fronts
Sgt. Roebuck is a US Marine Corp of the 1st Marine Division from Call of Duty: World at War: Final Fronts. He always fights alongside Polonsky and Pvt. Joe Miller. He carries an M1A1 Thompson and an M1 Garand as his weapon.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
