Biography

Young years
David Mason was born in late August or early September 1979 to Alex Mason and his unknown wife. He grew up in Alex’s hometown of Fairbanks, Alaska and after the death of his mother, his relationship with his father deteriorated. Since his father experienced a lot in the past and also disappeared from time to time, David did not want to lose him despite his rather negative feelings, so Alex promised not to go on any more military missions.

In 1986, Alex, now retired, resumed his duties to save Frank Woods, which is why Jason Hudson’s wife, Jenny, took care of his son. David tried to stop his father from leaving, but the latter told him Woods would do his job. In 1989, Raul Menendez kidnapped young David and drugged him unconscious just before Alex was assigned to stop then-dictator Manuel Noriega in Panama. Menendez introduced David to all the details and told him that Alex had to die because of his sister Josefina. Menendez’s moles in the CIA completely fooled Woods and Mason into believing that in exchange for Noriega, they would get Menendez. Woods was falsely led to believe he would shoot the terrorist shortly thereafter, but under the hood was Alex Mason. Menendez killed Hudson, leaving young David Mason and Woods crippled. David later came back from his trance-like state and saw his motionless father. David thought his father was dead and began to cry. Although Woods tried to comfort him, his wounds caused him to pass out.

Driven by guilt, Woods took young Mason in and raised him. But to avoid telling him the painful truth about his father’s death, Woods said “some idiot” had picked him off. When Woods entered the nursing home, he kept several of the painted pictures from David’s childhood.

Early career in the military

In 1996, Mason enlisted in the U.S. Navy and left with the rank of captain, eventually making it into the ultimate grouping, the Navy SEALs. After a few years in the regular group, it was suggested to David that he might try out for the elite unit, SEAL Team Six. He also rose to the rank of lieutenant commander. 30 years after his first encounter with David, Raul Menendez has gained the greatest power he could imagine. With it, he intends to launch a cyberattack to start the second Cold War. On April 19, 2025, David reached the rank of Navy Seal Commander and befriended Mike Harper.

The retirement home and Menendez’s story

Apparently Menendez had been visiting Woods at the retirement home, so David, Harper and a team went to see him at the retirement home and asked about the Menendez connection. Section then began seeing pictures of himself and Menendez as children. At first, Harper thought the visit to Woods was a complete waste of time, but suddenly Woods unpacks how he went on an adventure in Angola with Alex and encountered Menendez for the first time. Alex tried to kill him, which is why the latter now feels a desire for revenge. The second experience is related to Tian Zhao in Pakistan, where Woods and Alex Mason again met Lev Kravchenko, an old nemesis, who was responsible for brainwashing Mason. The latter has since been seeing numbers in his mind’s eye and having visions of Reznov. Woods noted that David would be just like his father, believing that Reznov saved them from the scam at the time. Last but not least, Woods recounted his experience in Nicaragua, where he encountered Menendez, who was believed dead, but the attack at the time accidentally killed his sister Josefina. The group found out during the visit that the drone invasion was related to a rare element possessed by China. Section asked why Woods is still alive despite receiving a visit from Menendez, however, Menendez ignores the question and tells the team to “find the lunatic.”

Celerium

The day after, Section, Harper, Crosby and Salazar headed to Myanmar to investigate the presence of Menendez’s soldiers there. They found out that the latter want to use Celerium (the element referred to) as a base for a cyberattack that could cripple the entire world. Menendez puts all his money from his cartel into mercenaries, the SDC and the militia. With the factory in Myanmar, he manufactured his own drones. Thanks to a tip from Woods, Section noticed that Menendez was putting excessive money into weapons manufacturing. As a result, the team found a scientist named Erik Breighner, who was captured to create an item from Celerium that would render all microchip technology in the world useless. Although Erik was killed, he was still able to give Section the Celerium core, which was later given to Admiral Tommy Briggs.

Pakistan

bout a month later, Section and his team set out to spy on Menendez’s right-hand man, DeFalco. The latter was spotted in Pakistan. Before they left, however, Mason again began seeing pictures of himself and his rival as children. Because of this, he realized Menendez must have played a role in Alex’s death 30 years ago. The team was able to infiltrate the Anthem facility in Pakistan and got word that General Zhao was secretly forming an alliance with Menendez and they were planning to meet on June 17.On the back cover of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, you can see Misty on the bus.

Karma

The notes from the overheard conversation talked about Karma, which was quickly traded as a secret cyber and was located on Colossus. Section, Harper and Salazar went to Colossus and after fighting their way through several lines of mercenaries, they learned that Menendez wanted to blow up the entire floating island. It also turned out that Karma was not a weapon but a woman named Chloe Lynch. They suspected Chloe was at Club Solar, but unfortunately DeFalco showed up at the same time and immediately took some guests hostage. After Chloe volunteered, Section and his team went after DeFalco.

This is how Alex Mason really died

Section knew that Woods had not yet released some information, so he went to the nursing home and asked him what really happened in Panama. When the story was told, Mason was shocked that his father died not at the hands of Menendez but at the hands of Woods himself. But he also knew that the latter had not done it on purpose and assured him that Menendez would receive his just punishment.

Strike Force missions

If you don’t feel like it, you can skip these missions, but doing so will destroy the U.S.S. Obama in the worst case scenario. Section and Briggs have formed a group of JSOC soldiers to stop Zhao from taking Russia, making the SDC the strongest military force on Earth. Section gives orders to the soldiers, who are located in the countries of India, Singapore, Afghanistan, Yemen and Pakistan.

Capture Menendez

Section helped raid a speech by Cordis Die in Yemen and showed up in person after Harper or Farid were killed. Harper or Farid were taken to safety, and Section turned his attention to a crashed VTOL plane that contained Menendez. Without resistance, Menendez allowed himself to be arrested and taken aboard the U.S.S. Obama. On the flight, Menendez teased Section, telling him that together they could create a new world and even calling him David.

Attack on the U.S.S. Obama.

Section interrogated Menendez, but he suddenly took Salazar hostage and knocked Mason unconscious. When he regained his senses, he fought his way through the carrier and protected it from an attack by the mercenaries. He tried to reach Briggs, but no one answered. Through the security cameras, Mason could see that Menendez had captured Briggs and Salazar was deceiving the team, after which Menendez shot the admiral. If Farid is dead at this point, Chloe dies at the hands of either Salazar or DeFalco. However, if Farid is still alive, he sacrifices himself and Chloe survives. Menendez used the celerium worm in his glass eye to disable the world’s security systems. If Chloe is still alive, she tries to do something herself, otherwise Section instructs the security people to do something. He then confronts the captured Salazar, who surrendered without resistance. Section expresses his disappointment at the latter’s deception.

Protecting President Bosworth

Section feared that Menendez might be targeting the President of the United States, so he personally escorted him through the streets of Los Angeles, which were seized with chaos around the world from the hack attack. In the process, he protected many convoys, including the president of France, and operated a surface-to-air gun until the presidents reached the hotel.

Attack on Menendez

After the presidents were finally safe, Section carried out a major attack with many specialists from around the world on the Cordis Die factory in Haiti. In the process, he witnessed a live transmission from Menendez and the self-destruction of the drone army. If Harper is still alive, the two continue to search for their nemesis. In a room below them, the floor suddenly exploded. Section was still able to hold on to the edge, but had to watch Menendez flee with two mercenaries (one of whom is DeFalco, if he is still alive). Section slithered down, grabbed the KAP-40 from the holster of a dead soldier and shot the two mercenaries. He then stabbed Menendez in the leg with his knife and then in the shoulder, grabbing his Tac-45 and then being able to either shoot him or arrest him.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
