As we enter the fourth week of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2023: Pacific League’s regular season, Global Esports is still on the hunt for its first series win. The team has shown potential, pushing DRX to the edge but just hasn’t been able to seal the deal.
With a match against Talon Esports lined up for April 17th, Global Esports now has all seven of its players geared up and ready to compete. So, what’s the plan for the team with this expanded roster?
In a recent post-match interview, Global Esports’ Assistant Coach, Peter “Spin” Bradford, shared some thoughts on whether the team will stick to a primary starting five or opt for a more rotation-based approach.
Spin breaks down Global Esports’ seven-player roster strategy
Up until now, Global Esports had no choice but to rely on its international players as the Indian duo, Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar and Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury, battled visa issues.
With all players now in Seoul, South Korea, and well-rested, fans are eager to see which lineup the team will field against Talon Esports.
Discussing how Global Esports plans to utilize its extended roster, Spin mentioned, “Not 100% sure. We have a couple of plans that we’re working on behind the scenes. Obviously, with SkRossi and Lightningfast arriving just recently, we haven’t had a chance to practice with them yet. Now, we have a whole week to practice. So we’ll test out a few things, some ideas we have, and then make our decisions based on that.”
Right now, it’s anyone’s guess who will represent Global Esports against Talon Esports. But one thing’s for sure: both teams desperately need a win in the upcoming best-of-three series, as they’re both 0-3 in the league so far.
