German National Team & the DFB Squad * Which national players have chances for the 2022 World Cup? – eSportsNews eSports FIFA

After the 4:1 victory against #Armenia on 15.11., the #GermanNationalSoccerTeam has managed a successful conclusion of the international match year 2021. In Armenia, they did not show any weakness despite a B eleven and won easily with 4:1. Thus, the new national coach has made an optimal start: 7 wins in 7 games. In the World Cup qualifiers, the team has scored 27 points and lost only once against #NorthMacedonia (still under Löw). The 2022 World Cup is the next important tournament. Here is the schedule and the international matches 2022, but which national players have a chance to participate in the World Cup 2022? We took a look at the individual sections of the national team and give an outlook on the current team.

The DFB squad 2022 for the World Cup

Normally, a World Cup squad consists of 23 players, with three goalkeepers mandatory. At the 2021 European Championship, UEFA increased the squad to 26 players because of Corona – this will most likely be the case in 2022 as well.

A fresh wind is blowing under Hansi Flick, even if he is somewhat forced to rely on an important Bayern axis, which will consist of 5 to 7 players.

“We have tremendous quality in every position. In every position we have two, three players that we were desperately looking for before. For example, Adeyemi and Nmecha. We even have top players in some positions. If you look at the finals of the last two Champions League years, there were a lot of German players on the pitch. I think we have good quality. We don’t need to hide. I also believe that the team can improve against stronger opponents. The games have shown that we are back. Also with the way we play soccer.”Hansi Flick, German national coach, when asked if they could win again against big opponents.

Hansi Flick has returned to the 4-2-3-1 system and is with a back four that offers more stability at the back but can still operate through the wings.

Which national players are going to the 2022 World Cup?

In goal DFB captain Manuel Neuer is set, he continues to play at a high level and is named by many as the best goalkeeper in the world. Behind him is Marc-André ter Stegen, who is in the box for FC Barcelona. Leno and Trapp are fighting for the number three spot. Germany still doesn’t have a goalkeeper problem.

In the Defense there are several construction sites, the defense has long been vulnerable and not crisis-resistant, can be quickly overrun. Hansi Flick has returned to a four-man backline after the three-man backline failed under Löw. So now they play with two central defenders and two wingers again, who are more offensively oriented. Set here are Ginter, Hofmann, Kehrer, Rüdiger and Süle in any case. Tah showed a great game against Armenia and can have hopes in this form. Mats Hummels could be a candidate with his experience, but he would have to stay injury-free.

The Midfield has rather an overnight offer a player, and foremost with Bayern players Müller, Kimmich, Goretzka and Sané. Even the young Jamal Musiala should go as a wild card. The midfield is completed with Gündogan and Havertz. Shaky candidates are Brandt and Draxler as well as Florian Wirtz and Florian Neuhaus. Marco Reus should be there if he remains fit.

At Storm: Timo Werner is definitely set, as basically the only center forward. Young Adeyemi and Nmeccha are a good backup. Kevin Volland from AS Monaco could also step in if need be and benefit from his experience in the French league.

The DFB squad 2021/2022

We went out on a limb and categorized the national players with a traffic light system: Green are the regular players who have their place safe, they will not get injured. Marked orange are the players who have a great chance of participating in the World Cup. And marked red are the shaky candidates who can, of course, still play their way into the spotlight in 2022.
