To kick off the weekend, on Friday, May 13, gaming and E-sports professionals provide insights into their industry in three talk rounds. Gaming Fans as well as all interested parties can either attend live in the panorama cinema from 6 p.m. or comfortably from home via livestream.

Talk Round 1 “Gaming – News Stories”: The talk, which will last around 30 minutes, will focus on the latest trends and content in e-sports. Multipliers report on their everyday life, the business of e-sports and the hottest games. Participants: Stefan Wenz (epic), influencer, and Dorian Gorr (Veritas), e-sports professional.

Talk round 2 “Games around the world education”: Targeted knowledge transfer through e-gaming doesn’t exist? Learning specific skills through games is the topic of the second talk round. Participants: Serkan (Serious Games) and Olaf Katzer (Head of Autostadt Learnlab).

Talk round 3 “E-Sports@business”: In the last talk round, everything revolves in about 40 minutes around the business that is behind the E-Sports hides. Because e-gaming is not just about “gambling”, but also about high prize money, tournaments and international comparison. Participants: Speakers from the brands Porsche, Volkswagen and the VfL Wolfsburg.

On Saturday, May 14, starting at 6:30 p.m., fans of the game “Rocket League” will play against each other in a tournament. In the group stage, teams of two will play against each other in a “competitive best-of mode.” Besides the Offline competition in the Autostadt, there is another tournament online, which is played in a knockout system – registration is by e-mail to [email protected]. Those who decide at short notice can join spontaneously if there are still places available – both tournaments are limited to 48 teams each (96 participants).

At the same time, gaming enthusiasts are invited to put their driving skills to the test – whether playing “Mario Kart” in the themed cinema on an XXL screen or on the Racing simulators by Porsche and in Sim Mobility. A minimum age of 16 is required for participation. Younger gaming fans aged 14 and over are also welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The tournament winners will be determined in the “Grand Final” on Sunday, May 15, from 3 to 6 pm. Live commentary of the tournament can be followed on the LED wall of the panorama cinema on site as well as via livestream on Autostadt.
