information

The Lab is a virtual reality minigame collection created by Valve. It was released on April 5, 2016 and takes place in a pocket universe of Half-Life and Portal. Much like Lost Coast, The Lab is more of a tech demonstration utilizing the concept of virtual reality rather than a concrete storyline game. The free title was released via Steam.

The Lab was the first game from the US development studio to be released since Dota 2 in 2013 and also the first to be developed and published in large parts with the Source 2 engine. Barring mods, there is currently no way to play The Lab without VR gear
