Just in time for the start of the year 2021 the Headliners-Promo-Event has started in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team. What’s behind the new FUT event, which players & cards are included and when the upgrades are coming, we’ll tell you in our overview.

Even after the release of the FIFA 21 Team of the Year (TOTY) the Headliners event is one of the hottest promos FUT 21 has to offer. What’s behind it and which players are part of it, you can find out here.

FUT Headliners: Upgrade for Erling Haaland

Borussia Dortmund ‘s Erling Haaland has not only become Bundesliga POTM April , but has also received a headlining upgrade from his Borussia’s winning streak. His card has a 91 overall rating. With Tottenham Hotspur changing coaches, all eyes are now on Heung-Min Son . Of all the remaining headliners, the South Korean is the one closest to upgrading with back-to-back wins.

With the release of FIFA 21 TOTW 28 , three Headliners cards will also increase in rating – even if Leon Goretzka surprisingly goes away empty-handed.

Forward Danny Ings from Southampton FC and Fabinho (Liverpool FC) have received a rating boost. Hirving Lozano (Napoli) also rises to a total of 88 thanks to his club’s winning streak.

Karim Benzema creates his own TOTY card

Actually, we would have expected an information card from Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) last week. But this week, with the new TOTW 26 , the time had finally come.

This lands Karim Benzema’s Headliners card at a total of 95 through the upgrade. So the Frenchman is just creating his own TOTY card and could rise even further up to the Team of the – Season .

The Man of the Match cards from the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League are finally here. EA Sports released the new special cards over the weekend. In addition to Kylian Mbappé (PSG) , BVB striker Erling Haaland is particularly eye-catching.

With this “performance-related special card” his Headliners variant also increases in value. The upgrade is expected to come into play on March 3rd with the new TOTW 23 , when Haaland will reach 90 OVR and draw level with his POTM card.

February 25 update

Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) and Dayot Upamecano (RB Leipzig) secured the Headliners upgrade this week by winning four straight league games. Benzema climbs to an incredible 94 OVR , OP center back Upamecano hits 86 OVR .

With TOTW 21 , Martin Hinteregger’s (Eintracht Frankfurt) Headliners upgrade finds its way into FIFA 21 Ultimate Team after the Hessians secured the winning streak. Hinteregger’s rating boosts:

The card is still a bargain on the FUT transfer market. For around 40,000 coins you can get a central defender, which with Shadow has a total value of 93 . Incredible.

Headliners upgrade for Haaland?

Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund) could also wave an upgrade this week . In the Champions League round of 16 against Sevilla FC, the Norwegian was voted “Man of the Match” , which means a special card. And this would in turn have a direct impact on his Headliners card, which would increase to 90 OVR on February 19th .

FIFA 21 Headliners: what’s behind them?

Similar to the Ones to Watch or Road to the Final cards, the FIFA 21 Headliners are dynamic cards that increase in stats as the – Season progresses . Compared to the other two promos, however, the Headliners upgrades work a little differently.

Some of the best players of the real football – Season  can look forward to a FUT Headliners special card , which is one point above the best inform card of the respective kicker at the start of the event . Each time the player receives an achievement-related special card, the Headliners card also increases in rating. These include, for example, Team of the Week, Man of the Match, Hero or Team of the Tournament. So far, so well known.
