Warzone: New map for – Season 4 teased
What’s the deal with the new map? It’s official: Warzone will get a new map in the upcoming – Season 4. Activision had teased the name of the new map last night via Call of Duty’s official Twitter account in Wheel of Fortune style.
When the name was revealed a short time later, it was revealed that the new map will be called “Fortune’s Keep”, in keeping with the Wheel of Fortune teaser.
When exactly will the card be released? According to the official Twitter account of Call of Duty next – Season , so in the context of the upcoming – Season 4. They did not mention an exact date. But the current – Season 3 of Warzone ends as it looks on June 22, so the new – Season 4 should start either on the same day or at least immediately after 22.06.2022.
Whether the new map will come directly with the start of the next – Season or with the traditional mid– Season update is not known at this time. In the community, however, there has been increased speculation about the start of – Season 4.
Warzone: Today we have the first look at the new map “Fortune’s Keep
Here’s what we currently know about the map: Except for the name “Fortune’s Keep” and the – Season 4 as a rough release period, unfortunately not much is known yet – also not whether it will be a small map in the style of Rebirth Island or a larger map like Caldera or Verdansk. But that should change soon.
When will there be more info? According to an official tweet, the Tac Map, i.e. the tactical view of the new map, will be revealed today, June 13. Here players should then get a first impression of how the new game world for Warzone is built. It could also provide information about the size of the new map – currently the most exciting question mark behind the upcoming map for many.
This is on the minds of many gamers: Besides the size of the map, players and fans are currently most curious about how the new map will be implemented into the game. Will it be the third map for Warzone after Caldera and Rebirth Island? Or will there be two maps in the Battle Royale of CoD and Fortune’s Keep will be the replacement for the popular Rebirth Island? There is no answer to this question yet. But some experts and parts of the community are guessing at a rather small map and think it is possible that Rebirth Island, the previous small Warzone map, will be replaced.
The story (yes, Warzone actually tells a story – Season by – Season ) provides some potential hints for such a development. In short, the current story around – Season 3 states in summary, among other things, that the base on Rebirth Island has been blown up and you may have to leave the island. You should stand by for more details on extraction protocols and new tasks. This can certainly be interpreted as an approaching end for the popular little island. However, we should know more about this shortly.
By the way, Warzone 2 is also getting more and more talked about in the last few days, most recently with the release date. You can find more about it here: Warzone 2: Release still 2022 – Activision confirms rough timeframe
