The fourth – Season is just around the corner! Accordingly, an extensive content update will be released on June 22. This will introduce another location, which, like Rebirth Island, is a compact alternative to Caldera.

From the official site, “This is where the magic happens. Take a VIP tour and enjoy the luxury, opulence and loot of the new Melee map.”

Once again we have to deal with a manageable island. Instead of a prison, however, magnificent areas await the players. Among other things, we see a fortress, a beautiful old town and a bay. Due to the small map size, intense action is offered here as well, which leads to entertaining rounds.

The end of Rebirth Island?

This probably means that Rebirth Island has had its day: as soon as Fortune’s Keep is launched, the development team will probably take Prison Island out of the game. The same was seen at the launch of Caldera – the main map of the game. Because when the tropical map was launched in December 2021, players had to say goodbye to Verdansk.

Why a Map Rotation is missing, the publisher explained by the pronounced installation sizes. At the time, Activision’s vice president spoke of a technical solution that is already being worked on. Sooner or later, both Verdansk/Caldera and Rebirth Island/Fortune’s Keep could be playable.
