What’s happening in Fortnite today? The new – Season 8 was announced the night after the live event “Operation: Sky Fire” through a timer. This was dated until September 13, 11:00 am. Since the timer has now expired, all players can again cheerfully devote themselves to destruction in Fortnite.

What new content does update 18.00 bring and where are the patch notes?
Epic Games published a post with comprehensive information regarding the new – Season . This update includes new weapons, new additions to the quests and more. We show you a summary of all the content here, compact and updated.
New weapons await us
A scout rifle and a new mini gun
The two new trinkets are a scout rifle, which, like the infantry rifle, allows for single, accurate shots. The other weapon is a mini-gun with the look of crystals that glow purple.
Turrets for the defense
With the invasion of Kevin, a new threat is now causing trouble. Kevin, the cube provided for so-called tilt worlds. These dimensions can be reached through cracks. In these worlds we can compete with rock monsters and get new weapons there. To be able to stand up to them, we bring out the big guns.
Known tools appear again
We don’t start the fight against the Kevin Invasion empty-handed. Update 18.00 brings back old items into the game like the harpooner or the automatic sniper rifle.
This allows you to fish faster or pump enemies full of holes.
Nuts and bolts are back. You can now make the rechargeable shotgun or a silenced AR. Many variations will be available in – Season 8.
Group orders and stamp cards are at the start again
With the update 18.00 the group orders and stamp cards have been brought back. They allow you to get EXP faster and better to complete your Battlepass. To do this, simply select the tasks to mark them as a group task. This way, the progress made by your team mates will count towards your tasks.
Stamp cards still fill up the remaining EXP you get with small achievements like fishing at fishing spots or achieving assault rifle kills.

Other minor changes and innovations:
- Reboot cards can now be collected automatically if you run over them
- Ink drops can be found in all chests
- Different colored kevins scattered around the island
- Small cracks that make for tipping worlds
- Cosmic chests are now also represented in group wedges
- Dinos are at the start again
