A former star in Fortnite has fallen badly out of favor and was even disowned by his clan. Now he’s apparently looking for new opportunities. After a single victory in Boxing 2021, he now apparently wants to get into martial arts.
Who is Jarvis?
YouTube star gets fired for crypto scam, pleads, “Don’t believe them!”
What’s Jarvis doing now? As liljarvis, the influencer can still be found on YouTube and also uploads videos there more or less regularly. He mainly markets his person and delivers reality content.
For some time now, videos about boxing have been appearing. Jarvis seems to have taken a liking to this – and there’s a reason for that.
“Who should I fight next?”
What does Jarvis have to do with boxing? In June 2021, the “Battle of the Platforms” took place. There, well-known YouTube greats competed against those from TikTok. Jarvis also took part and fought against TikToker Michael Le.
The fight took place on June 12 and Jarvis won in the 2nd round with a knockout (KO). That means: he hit his opponent so hard that he couldn’t get up again within the time.
His opponent at the time was a good bit smaller and lankier than Jarvis himself. However, this is his only known victory in the boxing ring so far.
Jarvis has nevertheless been celebrating his triumph ever since with a prominent picture on Twitter, which he even set as a background:
Is he serious? Probably yes. As esports.gg reports, Jarvis now wants to have found his “passion for boxing”. Since he’s been uploading content on the subject ever since, it seems likely that he’s pursuing a career here.
In one of his more recent tweets dated April 5, 2022, he asks his followers, “Who should I fight next?” The answers range from rather bizarre offerings to Jake and Logan Paul, who helped popularize influencer boxing at the time.
At least Logan Paul, however, has since moved on to wrestling, albeit with strange idiosyncrasies:

Boxing is getting bigger on Twitch and Co.
The trend around combat sports is getting bigger and bigger, even in Germany. Here, there was a big event at the beginning of April where several German influencers competed against each other in the ring.
The highlight of the evening was the Trymacs vs. MckyTV match. The two YouTubers and streamers actually have a close friendship. The encounter was more like the biblical battle of David against Goliath, but caused a lot of media hype.
The topic of boxing also came up again and again before. The biggest Twitch streamer xQc, for instance, was also considering venturing into the ring. Asmongold, Esfand and some of their colleagues around them staged a fantasy fight in the wrestling ring just before Christmas 2021.
The trend could actually pick up more steam and even become the “next big thing” on Twitch and co. MeinMMO author Maik Schneider has thought deeper about it and explains why it’s likely:
Streamer boxing matches work so well because it gives us exactly what Twitch is all about
