The end of the current – Season 2 of Chapter 3 in Fortnite is getting closer – and now there are also first hints about a big live event. Several leaks give hope for an exciting finale.
This is what’s going on in Fortnite: Update 20.40 went online in Fortnite today and, among other things, brought back the old familiar tilt-world weapons. At the same time, the update brought new data into play, which the known leakers and data miners to Fortnite rushed directly. And they found a few exciting clues.
This is what the leaks show: The leaker “iFireMonkey” shared on Twitter a whole series of code lines for the gameplay, which will be used in a big event. It seems to be called “Armadillo” and judging from the code lines, it should be an explosive battle with tanks and missiles.
An interesting point: the theme of “Moon” appears more often. For example, there seems to be a “Moon Pod” that is entered and exited. This at least suggests that it could go in the direction of the moon and thus outer space. Store backgrounds that iFireMonkey shares on Twitter also fit the space motif.
Likewise, it would fit the theme of “Moon” that several rumors about an expansion of the Star Wars theme in Fortnite arose in the past. Since the beginning of May, you could already fight with lightsabers again and buy the already known Star Wars skins in the store. Now, the launch of the Obi-Wan series is coming up – it’s very conceivable that there will be a collaboration between Star Wars and Fortnite like in the past Star Wars movies.
More leaks: Users in the subreddit “FortniteLeaks” also share more leaks about the upcoming event. They suggest that the team leaders from past – Season s could play a role. It is also possible that there will be a longer downtime after the event.
However, there is no real, official information about the event yet. So far, it’s only leaks, which could also come into play in a completely different form or not at all.
When will the event start? Again, there is no official time yet, but the current Battle Pass runs until June 04. So this would be a good date for an event.

This is what’s happening in the game right now: There is also a new development in Fortnite itself, which is already live. A new POI has appeared in the middle of the map – the “Collider”. This huge device is teeming with IO troops.
It seems that after the numerous failures in the battles against the Seven in the past weeks, the I.O. has now gathered here to prepare for the grand finale. The “Collider” is already being referred to by fans as the new “Doomsday Device” – and that, in turn, was the driving force behind the – Season 2 finale event in Chapter 2.
But what exactly happens here at the end of the – Season will probably only become clear in the coming weeks.
By the way, you could also call the drum shotgun a “doomsday device”. This weapon is currently absolutely OP and drives even professionals crazy.
