Epic Games releases the Fortnite update 20.30 as a download. The patch appeared within a downtime: The Battle Royale shooter went down this morning for maintenance work. In the meantime, the developers have published the patch notes – and with them details about the changes and innovations. You should take a look at Rocky Reels, because there you can currently find donation stations for an armored battle bus and various turrets. Now, on the other hand, the battle for Tilted Towers begins in the BR shooter. What’s more, there’s an IO airship hovering above the place, in which you can find Huntmaster Saber.
Star Wars Day in Fortnite
Fitting for the Star Wars Day 2022 on May 4 you can equip yourself with lightsabers and E-11 blaster rifles starting today (and until May 17). There are also new Star Wars missions to unlock the Empire banner for Fortnite. Also take a look at the outposts of the Seven. That’s because donation stations for Choppas have been set up there. Donate ingots to get the helicopter out of the vault. Individual balancing adjustments are also pending with the update 20.30. In the patch notes, the developers describe optimizations for shotguns, for example.

Adjustments for shotguns
“In version 20.30 all Shotguns have a balance update for the damage received. These changes increase the damage for most shots (including headshots). Also, all shotguns now have a ‘maximum damage cap’ that determines the maximum amount of damage a single shot can do,” the developers comment in the changelog. For example, the minimum number of shotgun shell hits has been increased from 3 to 4 for the Striker pump shotgun, Automatic shotgun and Drum shotgun. Other changes:
- Increased the shotgun pellet damage and headshot damage of the Striker Pumpgun and Automatic Shotgun.
- The headshot damage of the Ranger Shotgun and the Drum Shotgun has been significantly increased, but the base damage from buckshot remains the same.
- The damage at increasing range of the drum shotgun has been adjusted so that the effective range is shortened.
With the Fortnite (buy now 18,99 € ) Update 20.30 also brings a Browse menu to the game – you’ll find it next to Discover. The screen is divided into categories (such as Action, Casual, and Combat) “to make it easier for you to find games in the genres you like.” Finally, Epic Games has fixed an issue where most of the vaults in Outpost of the Seven could not be opened.
